No Celtic deal has been confirmed. Snoop Dogg became a co-owner and investor in Swansea City in July 2025. Later reporting described him as open to investing in Celtic if the opportunity were right, but the available reports do not establish negotiations, an agreed stake or a completed transaction.
What is confirmed about Snoop Dogg and Celtic?
The evidence supports a distinction between a completed Swansea City ownership announcement and reported, conditional interest in Celtic. A Goal report published on 4 November 2025 attributed to Snoop a willingness to invest if the right opportunity arose. That is not confirmation that he is negotiating with Celtic or has agreed to buy a stake.
A Celtic News Now listing carried a Football League World headline on 4 November 2025 saying he was “plotting” a Celtic deal. The headline is stronger than what the reported conditional statement establishes; it should not be read as proof of an imminent or completed deal.
The material available here contains no official Celtic confirmation of an investment. That absence does not prove that private discussions never took place; it means a Celtic transaction is not established by these public reports.

What does Snoop Dogg own at Swansea City?
Swansea City announced on 17 July 2025 that Snoop Dogg had joined the club as a co-owner and investor. The club tied the announcement to the launch of its 2025–26 home shirt. Snoop said: “My love of football is well known, but it feels special to me that I make my move into club ownership with Swansea City.” He also said: “The story of the club and the area really struck a chord with me. This is a proud, working class city and club. An underdog that bites back, just like me.” Both quotations appeared in the club’s announcement.
Neither the club announcement nor BBC Sport’s coverage specified the size of his ownership stake or the amount he invested. Being described as a co-owner and investor confirms his role, but not how much of the club he owns or what he paid.

Why did Swansea City bring in high-profile investors?
Swansea’s owners said investors with a high public profile could broaden the club’s profile and commercial reach, potentially creating more resources for the team. That is the owners’ stated rationale, not a measured outcome or a disclosed promise about transfer spending. The available announcement does not set out a specific amount of additional funding or a spending commitment.
