How application and card setup work
- Apply in Samsung Pay or Samsung Wallet. Samsung’s instructions describe submitting the requested information and verifying a phone number.
- Wait for a decision. Samsung says approval may take up to 24 hours. That is an estimate in its setup instructions, not a guarantee that every application will be approved or decided on that schedule.
- Fund the account. After approval, Samsung says you can link an existing bank account and transfer funds.

Features and terms to verify
SoFi’s Samsung Money Help Center lists features including bill pay, peer-to-peer payments, the ability to freeze the debit card, and access to Allpoint in-network ATMs. It also describes the account as having no account fees.
