Customer support and market-analysis tools may matter to the user experience, but they do not demonstrate secure custody, protected withdrawals, an independent security assessment, or a right to recover funds after a failure. The reviewed material supplies no attributable Regustable security statistic or security statement from a named auditor, regulator, or security official.

Then search the relevant regulator’s public register for that entity and confirm that any authorization covers the service you intend to use. CoinGecko’s exchange-credential guidance offers a useful verification principle: an active entry in a public regulator register supports a credential claim, while incorporation records establish legal existence—not authorization to operate an exchange (CoinGecko guidance).
Regulatory checks depend on the product and location. The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission says spot virtual-currency trading sites are not required to register with the CFTC, while certain derivatives intermediaries are subject to registration. What evidence would support a cryptocurrency exchange’s security claims?
Before trusting an exchange with funds, look for documentation that is specific, current, and tied to the legal entity and services you will use. A security claim is more useful when it identifies who assessed what, when they did it, and what was excluded.
- Entity and authorization: the operating legal entity, its jurisdiction, and an active regulator-register entry covering the relevant activity. A local registration should not be mistaken for a global license.
- Custody and withdrawals: an explanation of how customer assets are held, who controls withdrawals, and what account protections or recovery procedures apply.
- Independent assessments: a named assessor, report date, scope, and any material limitations. A broad claim of being “audited” is not enough to assess what was tested.
- Reserve evidence: a dated, independently verifiable attestation and a clear explanation of its scope and limitations. Reserve evidence alone does not prove cybersecurity or guarantee repayment.
- Incidents and recourse: a credible incident history, accessible complaint and dispute routes, and a clear account of what protections apply if the platform or a custodian fails.
The available Regustable materials do not provide these details. Since ownership, operating status, licensing, custody arrangements, security controls, audits, and incident histories can change, check current primary records before making a decision.
