Re:

Is Michael Jackson’s Ex-Wife Debbie Rowe Still Worth $25 Million?

There is no reliable public evidence that Debbie Rowe is worth $25 million. A celebrity estimate and reports of her past divorce settlement do not establish her current net worth.

No reliable public evidence in the sources reviewed verifies that Debbie Rowe is worth $25 million. Celebrity Net Worth lists an estimate of $20 million, while the strongest documented figure is an $8.5 million divorce settlement reported from court records. A past settlement and a present-day net worth are different measures.

What is Debbie Rowe’s reported net worth?

Celebrity Net Worth lists Rowe’s net worth as $20 million, but presents it as an estimate, not a verified accounting of her assets and debts: Celebrity Net Worth’s Debbie Rowe profile. The sources reviewed do not establish a current $25 million figure—or independently verify the $20 million estimate.

Net worth means assets minus liabilities. Without a current financial disclosure or reliable accounting, neither a settlement from decades ago nor a celebrity-wealth estimate can establish what Rowe is worth now.

What was Rowe’s divorce settlement?

The Los Angeles Times reported in 2009, citing court records, that Rowe and Michael Jackson’s divorce was finalized in April 2000 with an $8.5 million settlement. The report placed the agreement in the context of Rowe agreeing that Jackson would have sole custody of their two older children.

Another account gives a different description. Biography.com’s biographical summary says Rowe accepted more than $6 million and ownership of the Beverly Hills mansion. These accounts present the terms differently; they should not be combined into a single precise total. A 2013 Los Angeles Times report also gives the settlement as $8.5 million.

Did Rowe receive a separate custody or visitation payment?

Reports in 2009 suggested a separate multimillion-dollar arrangement related to custody or visitation, but Rowe’s lawyer disputed them. ABC News quoted her lawyer, Eric George, demanding a retraction and saying no custody or visitation agreement had been reached. He also said Rowe had not sought and would not accept additional consideration beyond prior spousal support. The report documents a denial, not a confirmed payment.

Was Rowe included in Jackson’s will?

Contemporaneous reports based on Jackson’s will and estate documents said Rowe was not named as an heir. ABC News and CBS/AP reported that the estate was directed to a family trust, with Jackson’s mother and children named as beneficiaries and Diana Ross as successor guardian. Her exclusion from the will does not reveal her current finances or establish whether she received any other support.

What can be established about Rowe’s wealth today?

The reported $8.5 million settlement is a historical figure, not a current net-worth statement. The public sources discussed here do not disclose Rowe’s present assets, liabilities, investments, property, or income, nor how much of any past settlement remains. The $25 million claim is therefore unverified, and her current net worth cannot be determined from these figures.
