Huntington has published a notice saying Online Banking is unavailable because of technical difficulties. However, that notice was crawled about three weeks before October 8, 2026, so it does not confirm that the app or website is still down today. A third-party monitor reported the service operational at 02:39 UTC on October 8; that snapshot is also not a definitive live status for later in the day.
What Huntington has acknowledged—and what remains unconfirmed
Huntington’s Online Banking system notice states: “Huntington Online Banking is currently unavailable due to technical difficulties. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience.” The notice does not name an individual spokesperson or provide a specific cause.
The notice’s age matters: it was crawled about three weeks before October 8, 2026. Separately, Outage.com displayed “Systems Operational,” with zero user reports in the preceding 24 hours and a last update of October 8, 2026, at 02:39 UTC. That is a time-limited third-party snapshot, not a statement from Huntington, and it predates the research timestamp by more than four hours. Taken together, these sources do not establish whether customers could access the app and website at a particular later time.
There is no confirmed outage start time, duration, customer count, geographic reach, or more specific root cause in the available information. Individual app reviews or login complaints are not enough to establish a bank-wide incident.

What to do if you cannot sign in
Check the bank’s current service and contact information
Use Huntington’s official Online Banking login and contact page for current information. The mobile-login page is an access page, not a dated outage bulletin, so a login error there does not by itself confirm an active bank-wide outage.
Try telephone banking for supported tasks
Huntington’s notice lists automated telephone banking at (800) 480-2265, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The bank’s telephone-banking guide describes functions including balance inquiries, recent transactions, and transfers between related deposit accounts. The guide does not establish that every app or website feature is available by phone, so confirm that the task you need is supported.
