No. The headline refers to a past promotion, not an offer readers can assume is available now. A December 24, 2025 report described 50% off annual pricing for new users; later reporting said the 2026 discount ended January 15, 2026. Check the offer shown in your own Google Account for current pricing and eligibility.
What the 50% off Google One deal offered
Android Central reported on December 24, 2025, that new users could get the 2TB annual storage plan for $50 a year instead of $100, or Google AI Pro for $100 a year instead of $200. Those are historical US-dollar prices reported at the time, not verified current prices or prices available in every country. Android Central’s report covered the promotion as a limited-time offer.
A separate report said Google’s 2026 50% discount for new subscribers ended January 15, 2026. 9to5Google’s report does not establish that the same offer is available again. Complete official terms for the original campaign—including its full country list, billing transition, and original end date—are not established.
What Google One plans include now
Google’s current US plan comparison lists storage tiers including 400GB, 2TB, 5TB, 20TB, and 30TB. Google warns that prices, availability, capacity, and savings can vary by region, subscription, and plan terms. Use the plan page and your account’s checkout screen to confirm what applies to you rather than relying on the old deal’s prices. Google One plan comparison

Google describes AI Pro as providing higher access to features and models in the Gemini app and other Google AI products, alongside expanded storage and other benefits. Its help page identifies 2TB as included storage, while the newer plan comparison also lists a 5TB tier; don’t assume the historical headline precisely describes every current plan configuration.
