That establishes a basis for calling it an accredited school, but it does not guarantee that another college will accept its credits, that a state board will approve a particular program for licensure, or that an employer will value every credential. Check with the institution or authority that will evaluate your specific program before enrolling.
Is Ashworth College accredited?
Ashworth’s accreditation page identifies DEAC as its institutional accreditor and says DEAC is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Ashworth also says it is authorized by Georgia’s Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission and approved to participate in NC-SARA, the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement framework. These are Ashworth’s published disclosures; readers making a high-stakes decision can verify them with the accreditor and regulator. Ashworth’s accreditation information
Accreditation is not the same as universal acceptance. Ashworth’s academic catalog advises students to confirm whether DEAC accreditation will be accepted for their intended purpose, such as transferring, applying for a job, or seeking a license. Ashworth degree academic catalog
One program has additional specialized accreditation
Ashworth identifies its Veterinary Technician Associate Degree as accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (AVMA/CVTEA). This program-level recognition should not be assumed to apply to Ashworth’s other programs. Ashworth’s accreditation information AVMA/CVTEA information

Will Ashworth College credits transfer?
It depends on the receiving college. Ashworth says transfer policies vary by institution, so accreditation alone does not establish that another school will accept a particular Ashworth course or degree. Ashworth transfer-credit information Ashworth transfer guidance
Keep the direction of Ashworth’s frequently cited transfer figure clear: Ashworth says eligible students may transfer up to 75% of an associate or bachelor’s program into Ashworth. The Registrar reviews official transcripts and decides which credits qualify. This is not a promise that another college will accept up to 75% of credits earned at Ashworth. Before enrolling, send the target college the exact program and course descriptions and ask its registrar or transfer office for written guidance on which credits it would accept and how they would apply to your intended credential.
Can I use an Ashworth program for a license?
Licensing depends on both the occupation and the state or jurisdiction where you plan to work. Ashworth’s state licensing resource lists programs that may lead to licensure or certification, including Early Childhood Education Associate Degree, Home Health Aide Career Diploma, Pharmacy Technician Career Diploma, Sterile Processing Career Diploma, and Veterinary Technician Associate Degree. The school directs students to consult the relevant state, local, or licensing board. Ashworth state licensing information

Before paying tuition, ask the licensing authority whether the exact Ashworth program meets the rules where you intend to work, including any clinical, practical, or other requirements. Completing a program does not, by itself, establish that you qualify for a license. Ashworth degree academic catalog Ashworth state licensing information
Can I get a job with an Ashworth College degree?
There is no blanket answer: employers set their own requirements, and a credential’s usefulness depends on the job and employer. Ashworth’s catalog recommends confirming that DEAC accreditation will be accepted for the intended employment use. Ask the specific employer or hiring authority whether it accepts the credential for the role you want. Ashworth degree academic catalog

No independently verified current outcome figure is established here, so do not treat older promotional claims as current independent employment or completion data. What if I need to file a complaint?
Ashworth publishes a grievance process that tells students to first exhaust the school’s internal complaint and appeal avenues. The policy then identifies the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission and the SARA student complaint process as possible external channels. A published complaint route describes where to raise an issue; it does not establish complaint frequency or outcomes. Ashworth grievance and complaint policy
