zerohash announced Ethereum staking infrastructure for financial platforms on June 25, 2026, naming Interactive Brokers (IBKR) as an initial partner. The announcement does not confirm that IBKR clients can stake ETH already. Interactive Brokers CEO Milan Galik said the firm looked forward to offering staking “in the near future,” so customers should check their own platform and a newer IBKR notice before assuming the feature is live.
What zerohash announced
zerohash launched a Staking-as-a-Service product for brokerages, banks and fintech companies through a single API integration. Its initial launch partners were Interactive Brokers, Public and BitMart. Ethereum (ETH) was supported at launch, while Solana staking was described as coming soon. These statements describe zerohash’s infrastructure capability; they do not set a client-facing activation date for every partner.

The announcement quoted Galik: “Staking gives investors an additional way to earn yield on digital assets and we look forward to offering this alongside the broad range of products and markets available through the Interactive Brokers platform in the near future.” That wording makes the IBKR relationship clear but leaves the rollout date open.
zerohash also cited a 2025 PwC survey saying 27% of retail crypto investors actively pursue staking as a core part of their strategy, compared with 31% for automated savings plans. This percentage is reported by zerohash; the underlying PwC survey was not independently located in the available source material.

Can I stake Ethereum through Interactive Brokers?
The available evidence does not establish that staking is currently enabled for all, or any particular group of, IBKR clients. Interactive Brokers’ crypto product page lists Ethereum as a supported crypto asset and explains crypto trading commissions, but it does not confirm a live staking feature.
IBKR’s July 2026 crypto announcement covered additional tokens and stablecoin transfers, not Ethereum staking. Its March 2026 European Economic Area announcement described crypto trading through zerohash for eligible individual investors, also without announcing staking. Those notices repeatedly qualify availability by affiliate, account type and residence.

Where the service may be available
zerohash stated that its staking service was available throughout the United States except California, Maryland, New Jersey and Wisconsin. That is a statement about zerohash’s service footprint, not a guarantee that an IBKR account in every permitted state is eligible.
Interactive Brokers separately says product availability varies by account type and residence. Eligibility can therefore depend on your legal residence, the IBKR affiliate serving your account, account classification and the feature’s actual rollout. European availability should not be inferred from U.S. coverage: IBKR’s EEA notice says crypto availability varies by country and affiliate.

What is known about rewards, fees and lock-ups?
A zerohash staking agreement says reward rates are estimates, can change and are not guaranteed. It also says the platform will disclose supported assets, any lock-up periods, reward shares and service fees. Service and network fees may be deducted before the customer’s reward share is calculated.
No current IBKR-specific ETH reward rate, lock-up duration, unstaking timetable or staking fee was established in the available announcements and agreement. Do not treat a rate shown by another platform, or an earlier promotional figure, as an IBKR term.

IBKR’s crypto commission is a trading charge
Interactive Brokers lists crypto trading commissions of 0.12% to 0.18% of trade value, with a $1.75 minimum per order capped at 1% of trade value. Those figures apply to crypto trades described on the IBKR product page. They are not evidence of a staking fee, nor do they show how any staking reward would be shared.

- Sign in to the current IBKR client platform associated with your account.
- Look for a staking, earn or rewards option attached to Ethereum holdings rather than relying only on the crypto trading ticket.
- Open the feature’s terms and check the eligible account type, residence and IBKR affiliate.
- Read the displayed reward methodology, variable-rate warning, service or network deductions, reward share and any lock-up or unstaking conditions.
- If no staking option or current terms appear, contact IBKR through its official support channel and ask whether ETH staking has launched for your account.

- Which assets can be staked, including whether ETH is supported.
- How rewards are calculated and how often the rate can change.
- Service, network and platform fees, plus the proportion of rewards you receive.
- Any lock-up, withdrawal or unstaking delay.
- Who holds the assets and what control you retain over them.
- Whether the feature is actually available in the client platform, rather than merely announced by an infrastructure provider.
What this announcement means for investors
The development shows that a major brokerage is partnering with an infrastructure provider to add staking alongside crypto trading. It does not yet establish a guaranteed yield, a fixed launch date or universal IBKR access. Staking rewards remain variable, and access can be restricted by residence, affiliate and account type.
Before committing ETH, verify the live terms displayed by Interactive Brokers. Treat any projected return as an estimate, account for possible fees and lock-ups, and remember that staking exposure remains tied to the risks of the underlying digital asset.
