Insight describes Azagury’s remit as leading work that integrates hardware, software and services, with a focus on AI transformation. These are company descriptions of his experience and role, not an independent assessment of his record.
Why Insight says it chose him
Insight framed the appointment as part of its effort to accelerate its transformation into an “AI-first Solutions Integrator.” The company pointed to its introduction of Insight AI and its acquisition of Inspire11 as recent AI-related moves. That is Insight’s stated rationale; the announcement does not establish that the leadership change will produce particular business results.

Chairman and co-founder Tim Crown said, “AI is redefining what it means to be a technology partner, and our clients expect us to lead that charge.” Azagury said clients face uncertainty, supply-chain shifts and pressure to adopt AI and realize value from it. Both statements appeared in the company’s announcement.
What Insight said about Dee Burger’s departure
Insight said Burger resigned from his role as president of Insight North America to pursue other opportunities, effective March 31, 2026. The company did not provide a more detailed explanation. The announcement does not support conclusions about a dispute, performance issue or disagreement over strategy.

Insight’s 2025 annual report reported full-year net revenue of $8.2 billion, down 5% year over year amid macroeconomic headwinds and partner-program changes. It also reported flat gross profit and a fourth consecutive year of gross-margin expansion. These figures describe the company’s reported 2025 performance; they do not show that the leadership changes caused those results.

CRN reported that Insight’s 2025 North America sales were $6.65 billion, down 6% from $7.05 billion in 2024. Technology-services adviser Martin Wolf characterized Azagury’s appointment as a signal of emphasis on services, calling him “a serious services executive, not some box-kicker.” That is Wolf’s interpretation, not a company-confirmed motive or a demonstrated outcome.
