The home linked to Kevin Durant’s reported $15.6 million purchase is in Hidden Hills, California—not Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Nets reference reflects the period of his career around the 2021 purchase; it does not describe the property’s location or establish that he owns or lives in it today.
Where is Kevin Durant’s reported $15.6 million mansion?
The property was reported to be a spec mansion in Hidden Hills, a gated community in Los Angeles County, California. The Real Deal reported the purchase in July 2021, and Architectural Digest’s 2024 account also places the deal in 2021. Neither source describes a home in Brooklyn.
Durant’s Brooklyn Nets tenure explains the title’s historical association: he was connected to the team around the time of the reported purchase. That is different from saying the mansion was in Brooklyn. The Associated Press reported in June 2025 that Durant was moving from Phoenix to Houston after his Suns tenure; that career update does not establish where he lives or what property he owns.
What was reported about the purchase?
Architectural Digest reported that Durant paid $15.6 million for the Hidden Hills property in an off-market deal in 2021, citing earlier reporting by The Real Deal. The Real Deal’s July 21, 2021 report also described the purchase: Kevin Durant Buys Hidden Hills Spec Mansion. The figure is a reported purchase price, not an estimate of the home’s present value.

The Real Deal page was not directly accessible to the reporting consulted here, so its account should be read with that limitation in mind. Architectural Digest’s article provides a separate published account and attributes the price and property description to prior coverage.
What does the Hidden Hills home look like?
Architectural Digest describes the property, drawing on other reporting, as a modern farmhouse of roughly 10,000 square feet on a reported 1.8-acre parcel, at the end of a gated cul-de-sac. These are published descriptions, not measurements independently verified through public property records for this article.

The public visual evidence is limited. Architectural Digest points to a 2022 Instagram image that appears to show part of a pool deck. The visible features it describes are a blue-tiled pool, barbecue area, fire pit, and balcony. The image is presented as a suggestive glimpse of the property, not definitive proof of every feature or confirmation of present ownership.

- JMBRICKLAYER GHOST HOUSE BUILDING BLOCKS SET 1002: A haunted house kit in dark fashion. Deep green bricks, pointed gothic roof, dead branches rising on the walls, and cobwebs in the corners. In the right light, the whole thing looks like an abandoned property for a hundred years. Lid on — the exploration begins
- IMMERSIVE LIGHTING EXPERIENCE: Nine LEDs hidden in windows, door frames and hidden corners. Warm yellow of door lanterns and street lights; eerie green seeps out the windows. The two shades press against each other, and the room begins to breathe. The wiring remains hidden to keep the atmosphere clean
- 3 FLOORS FULL OF DISCOVERY SPACE: Ritual altar, biological laboratory, pointed attic, specimen glass, maps, bed, treasure chest and a small cemetery in the yard. Each stone you add reveals another small detail in the corners
- FOUR FIGURES ARE INCLUDED: A maid in black and white uniform, a crazy doctor in a suit, a zombie with a tropical helmet and shovel and a blonde zombie who already lacks a half of the face. Each has its own backstory; arrange them however you want. Whether the entire expedition is wiped out tonight or someone escapes alive — that's what you decide
- A LIGHT SENSOR CONTROLS THE LEDS DESIGN: When the room gets dark, the model awakens. With a total of 2688 stones, it looks good on a desk shelf, living room console or in a display case. Use it to tell ghost stories on Halloween, or let it breathe quietly for the rest of the year
For broader career context, the Associated Press reported on June 22, 2025 that Durant was moving from the Phoenix Suns to the Houston Rockets. That report concerns his team move, not the mansion’s ownership or his residence.
