Applications are closed. The recruitment was announced in 2023 for a 2024–25 cycle; dates reported for its examination and results were schedules, not confirmation of what ultimately took place.
What was the deadline and who was recruiting?
Scroll and Hindustan Times reported that applications closed on January 1, 2024, for 275 Trade Apprentice vacancies at the Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam. The “2023” in the recruitment title refers to the announcement year; Scroll described the examination cycle as 2024–25. Scroll and Hindustan Times carried the deadline and vacancy figure in their 2023–24 coverage.
What eligibility requirements were reported?
Contemporary reports summarized the education thresholds as Standard X/SSC/Matric with at least 55% aggregate and an ITI qualification under NCVT or SCVT with at least 65% aggregate. They also summarized the age rules as a minimum age of 14, or 18 for hazardous occupations, with no upper age restriction for apprenticeship training. These are reported summaries; the original official notification is the authority for the full conditions and how they apply to a particular trade.
How did candidates apply?
Applications were made through the government’s Apprenticeship India portal. Scroll’s report instructed candidates to search Apprenticeship Opportunities using the establishment name “NAVAL DOCKYARD” or Establishment ID E08152800002, complete the application, and keep a printout. That route is historical information for this closed intake, not an active application opportunity.
What selection and examination dates were reported?
Scroll described selection as a main written examination followed by a physical interview and document verification. Reports scheduled the written examination for February 28, 2024, and said results were expected on March 2, 2024. Those are published schedule dates only; the reporting cited here does not independently establish whether the examination or result occurred on those dates or provide verified selection outcomes.

Use the official Navy notification for authoritative details on trade-wise eligibility, documents, selection rules, and any corrections. The reported summaries should not substitute for that notice. Also distinguish this intake from other Naval Dockyard advertisements that may share a 275-apprentice vacancy count but concern different training years or deadlines.
