Scroll published the announcement on December 30, 2024. Its January 31 deadline meant January 31, 2025, at 5 p.m.—not an upcoming date. The notice covered 34 vacancies across administrative and technical cadre posts at IIT Kanpur, according to Scroll’s report.

The 2026 advertisement is separate from the closed 2024–25 drive; its dates and terms do not reopen or amend the January 2025 application window.

The later portal page reported an extension through July 7, 2026, for Advertisement No. 1/2026. That date has also passed. Check the official page for newer notices rather than relying on an old application link or deadline.

Follow the advertisement linked from the official recruitment page, since eligibility, vacancies, fees and deadlines can differ by advertisement and post. IIT Kanpur’s current portal guidance describes this general application sequence; it is not confirmation of the exact steps or requirements for the closed 2024–25 campaign.

- Upload the documents specified in that advertisement.
- Preview the form and check it against the advertisement before submitting.
- Pay any applicable fee and submit the application as instructed. The current portal warns that fees are not refunded.
Check the notice’s category-wise vacancies and eligibility before applying. Do not carry the 2024–25 fees or exemptions into a later recruitment drive unless that later advertisement explicitly states them.
