IIT JAM 2025 results were announced on March 19, 2025—not today. The published scorecard download window has also ended: the official scorecard page gave qualified candidates until July 31, 2025. If you need your old scorecard now, check the official JOAPS portal and contact the GATE-JAM Office if it is no longer available in your account.
When were the IIT JAM 2025 results declared?
The official JAM 2025 schedule lists March 19, 2025, as the result announcement date. It lists March 25, 2025, for scorecard availability. However, the official scorecard and merit-list page says qualified candidates could download scorecards from March 24 through July 31, 2025. The official pages therefore differ by one day on the opening date; both place the download period in the past. How to check your JAM 2025 result or try to retrieve the scorecard

Go to the official IIT JAM 2025 website and follow its Candidate Portal link to JOAPS. The official result information says final results are available in JOAPS.

Sign in using the credentials requested by the official portal. The published pages do not specify the exact login fields, so follow the current portal prompts rather than relying on third-party instructions.

Look for your result or scorecard in your account. The official pages describe the scorecard as available to qualified candidates and say it shows marks and All India Rank (AIR).

If the 2025 scorecard is no longer available, contact the GATE-JAM Office at IIT Delhi. The official JAM 2025 site lists [email protected] and +91 11 26591749 / +91 11 26591750, during 9:30 am–1:00 pm and 2:00 pm–5:30 pm on government working days.
The published download period ended on July 31, 2025. The official pages do not confirm whether an individual scorecard can still be retrieved after that deadline, so portal access or support is the appropriate way to check your case.
What the score, rank and qualifying status mean
JAM assigns an AIR for each test paper and prepares merit lists based on AIR. The official result information describes candidates included in the All India Merit List as qualified to apply for corresponding academic programmes. AIR and qualifying status are not, by themselves, an admission guarantee: merit-list inclusion and admission depend on the programme, category, available seats and its admission requirements.

JAM 2025 cutoffs varied by paper and category. The General-category qualifying marks, for example, were 24.46 in Biotechnology, 25.83 in Chemistry, 42.55 in Economics, 21.06 in Geology, 19.90 in Mathematics, 8.75 in Mathematical Statistics and 14.66 in Physics. These are paper-specific qualifying cutoffs, not a universal rank threshold or a guarantee of admission to a particular institute. Result access and admission applications are separate
JOAPS was also used for JAM 2025 admission applications. IIT Delhi said the admission portal would open on March 26, 2025, for eligible candidates to apply based on category and performance. Checking a result or retrieving a scorecard is not the same as submitting an admission application; consult the official JAM admissions information for the relevant process and dates. The word “today” is outdated for JAM 2025. For context, IIT Bombay’s official JAM 2026 notifications record results going live on JOAPS on March 19, 2026, and scorecard downloads enabled on March 26, 2026. Those are JAM 2026 dates, not a reopening of the JAM 2025 scorecard window. IIT Bombay’s JAM 2026 notifications provide the current-cycle notice.
