IHG and Chase announced a refreshed no-annual-fee personal card on October 1, 2026, called the IHG One Rewards Credit Card. It was previously named the IHG One Rewards Traveler Card, so the announcement is a refresh and renaming—not the launch of a brand-new no-fee product.
What the no-annual-fee IHG card offers
IHG and Chase describe the card’s headline benefits as follows in their October 1, 2026 announcement:
- IHG stays: Up to 17X total points on stays at IHG hotels. The announcement does not break down how that total is composed, so check the current card terms for the earning calculation.
- Everyday purchases: 3X points at restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores, and 2X points on other purchases.
- Hotel status: Automatic Silver Elite status and five Elite Night Credits each calendar year.
- Reward Night benefit: A fourth Reward Night after $5,000 in card purchases. The announcement does not provide the full conditions for using this benefit; confirm them in the current terms.
These are issuer-announced features. The announcement does not establish what IHG points are worth to an individual cardholder, and the value of the benefits depends on whether you can use them.
New-cardmember bonus and deadline
The announced launch offer is 125,000 bonus points after $2,000 in purchases within the first three months from account opening. IHG and Chase list November 18, 2026, as the offer end date. Offers and eligibility terms can change, so confirm the live application disclosure before applying.

Why the card page may show different details
As of October 4, 2026, IHG’s card product page still uses the former Traveler Card name and displays older offer details. That conflicts with the October 1 announcement. The announcement is the source for the refreshed card’s stated features and bonus, but the live application flow and its disclosures are what to check before submitting an application.
If you already have the Traveler Card
IHG and Chase said existing cardmembers would be notified in October about the new and enhanced benefits and when they take effect. The announcement does not say that every change applies immediately to every existing account. Review the communication sent for your account rather than assuming the new terms are already active.

How to decide whether to consider it
A $0 annual fee removes the recurring card fee, but it does not by itself make the card a good fit. Consider how you would use its benefits and compare the terms with any other IHG card you are considering.
- Estimate whether you expect to use the card for IHG stays and the listed everyday spending categories.
- Check whether Silver Elite status, five annual Elite Night Credits and the fourth Reward Night benefit matter for your travel plans.
- For the bonus, confirm that you can meet the $2,000 spending requirement within the stated period without spending more than you otherwise would.
- Compare current annual fees, earning rates, status and night benefits across cards. The announcement’s headline terms alone do not determine which card is best for you.
