The company’s release instead reports adjusted diluted EPS of $1.08, up from $0.81 a year earlier. The available information does not independently establish the estimate or the surprise characterization.

Construction Partners is a vertically integrated civil-infrastructure contractor focused on roadway construction and maintenance in Sunbelt local markets. It operates in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, with asphalt plants, aggregate facilities and liquid asphalt terminals. Its work includes public roads, interstate highways, airport runways, bridges, paving and sitework. The company says publicly funded projects make up most of its business.

CEO Fred J. (Jule) Smith III said growth came despite energy-cost inflation and an exceptionally wet May in many of the company’s markets. He described demand for public infrastructure and commercial construction as healthy, and said that demand contributed to the record backlog. Those are management’s explanations and assessment, not independent confirmation of future demand.

Backlog reached $3.36 billion
Construction Partners reported a project backlog of $3.36 billion as of June 30, 2026. That compares with $2.94 billion a year earlier and $3.14 billion as of March 31, 2026.
Backlog represents awarded work that provides visibility into potential future activity; it is not revenue already earned, and it does not guarantee when projects will be performed or how profitable they will be. Smith said the backlog reflected healthy demand and provided continued visibility into future growth. That outlook remains management’s view, not a certainty.

The precise 1.03% daily gain in the title is not verified by the available market report. AD HOC NEWS, citing data compiled by 247wallst.com, reported that ROAD was at $101.13 and up 0.57% on September 3, 2026. That is a dated quote for that session, not evidence of a 1.03% move on another date. Share-price changes depend on the trading date and market-data source.
