Its registration dates are also distinct from the first restructured CSEET session, held in June 2026. As of 8 October 2026, the official ICSI CSEET portal advertises the February 2027 session, with a registration deadline of 31 October 2026.
Which January 2026 CSEET dates are being confused?
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) held the January 2026 CSEET examination on 10 January. ICSI described it as the final attempt under the then-existing remote-proctored mode. That is the exam date, not the registration opening or closing date. ICSI’s FAQ, updated 10 April 2026, confirms the last attempt and the transition to the revised structure.
The first session under the restructured CSEET was June 2026. ICSI said the revised structure applied to candidates registering on or after 16 December 2025. Registration for that June session ran from 16 December 2025 through 15 February 2026; both dates are historical, not a current application window. ICSI’s January 2026 publication and its June 2026 session notice give those dates.
What is the current CSEET registration deadline?
As shown on ICSI’s CSEET portal on 8 October 2026, registration is being advertised for the February 2027 session, with a last date of 31 October 2026. Check the live CSEET academic portal for the current notice and its official registration link before applying; notices and deadlines can change.

ICSI’s restructuring announcement sets general registration cut-offs of 1 October to 31 January for June sessions, 1 February to 31 May for October sessions, and 1 June to 30 September for February sessions. The announcement also specifies transition-session exceptions. Treat those as the announced schedule rules, not a substitute for checking the portal for later amendments. What did the June 2026 session cost?
For the June 2026 restructured session, ICSI’s January 2026 publication listed a registration fee of ₹7,500, inclusive of the Student Induction Programme (SIP) and online classes. It listed a separate examination fee of ₹1,500 per session. These are figures for that session; check the live ICSI notice for applicable fees before paying for another session. Was the January test date extended?
No. ICSI separately offered a further test on 12 January 2026 to candidates who could not successfully appear, or did not appear, in the 10 January sitting because of technical issues. That was an additional test opportunity for affected candidates, not an extension of the registration window. See ICSI’s additional-test notice.
