No. Registration for Indian Coast Guard CGEPT 01/2025 is closed. Its reported final deadline was 10 July 2024, so the old application link is not a way to apply now. The 320 vacancies in that cycle comprised 260 Navik (General Duty) posts and 60 Yantrik posts. For a current opportunity, use the Coast Guard’s official recruitment listing and follow the notice for the relevant batch.

Is CGEPT 01/2025 registration still open?

No. CGEPT 01/2025 is a past recruitment cycle, and its reported final application deadline was 10 July 2024. The original schedule gave 13 June through 3 July 2024 for online applications; Scroll reported on 4 July 2024 that the deadline had been extended to 10 July. The phrase “ends today” is therefore stale as of 8 October 2026. Scroll’s report covered the extension and vacancy count.

Do not treat an old CGEPT 01/2025 application link as active. If you are looking for a current opening, check the Coast Guard’s official recruitment listing and the linked notice before applying.

What did the 320 vacancies include?

Post Vacancies in CGEPT 01/2025
Navik (General Duty) 260
Yantrik 60
Total 320

These are historical vacancy figures reported for the 2024 recruitment cycle, not current openings. The headline’s “320 Navik posts” wording is inaccurate: only 260 were Navik (GD); the other 60 were Yantrik.

Where is the official application route for a current cycle?

The Coast Guard’s recruitment listing identifies CGEPT-01/27 and CGEPT-02/27 as later batches and says registration was scheduled to commence on 6 October 2026, with applicants directed to SSC. These are different cycles from CGEPT 01/2025. Check the current listing for the applicable notice, dates, eligibility rules and application instructions; a scheduled start date alone does not establish that applications remain open.

  1. Open the Indian Coast Guard recruitment listing.
  2. Find the notice for the batch you intend to apply for, such as CGEPT-01/27 or CGEPT-02/27 if listed.
  3. Use the SSC route specified in that notice and confirm the application window and requirements there before submitting an application.

What were the historical eligibility requirements?

An indexed copy of the CGEPT 01/2025 notification hosted by a third-party PDF service describes different education requirements for the two roles. Because this is not the Coast Guard’s own hosting, treat these as historical details to verify against the complete official notification rather than as current eligibility advice.

  • Navik (GD): Class 12 with Mathematics and Physics from a board recognized by COBSE.
  • Yantrik: Class 10 plus a qualifying engineering diploma, or an alternate specified route involving Class 10, Class 12 and a qualifying diploma.
  • Age: The indexed copy lists an age range of 18–22 and a birth-date window of 1 March 2003 through 28 February 2007, with upper-age relaxation for eligible categories subject to the notice’s terms.

Those dates and requirements apply to the 01/2025 notice; they do not establish eligibility for a later batch. Use the full notice for the cycle you are applying to, including its precise diploma, board-recognition and relaxation rules.

What does Navik training involve?

The Coast Guard’s enrolled personnel information describes training that includes basic and divisional training at Chilka, afloat training and professional training matched to the role. Training routes vary by Navik specialization. This is useful context about the work pathway, but applicants should rely on recruitment notices for entry requirements and selection details.
