Scroll reported on February 11, 2025, that the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) had released the exam city slip for Assistant Commandant recruitment for the 2026 batch, covering General Duty and Technical posts. Its report gave a route to the candidate login, but the current status of the slip and portal has not been verified. Check the official recruitment site for current or archived information; an old report does not confirm that its login link is still active.
Where to check the ICG Assistant Commandant exam city slip
Scroll’s February 11, 2025 report directed candidates to the official Indian Coast Guard recruitment site. The steps below reflect the historical instructions in that report, not confirmation that the slip remains available:
- Open the official recruitment site.
- Go to the homepage login or candidate login.
- Sign in with your candidate credentials.
- Look for the exam city slip, download it, and check the city and exam date shown there.
- Print a copy if useful for your reference.
If the slip is no longer shown, consult the official portal for current or archived notices rather than relying on an old direct link. Scroll reported the exam date was available with the slip, but the exact date was not independently verified here.
Which recruitment and vacancies did the report cover?
The report concerned Assistant Commandant recruitment for the 2026 batch in the General Duty and Technical branches, including Engineering and Electrical/Electronics. Scroll said the drive aimed to fill 140 posts; that is the figure in its 2025 report, not a current vacancy count independently confirmed by an official source.

What does the city slip show, and when is the admit card available?
The city slip tells you the examination city; it is not the document that gives the final examination-centre address. A copy of the Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant notice for the 2025 batch, hosted by Testbook, says the examination city is displayed in the candidate login at least 10 days before Stage I. It says the e-admit card, which gives the exact centre address, is made available 2–3 days before the examination. These timings come from the 2025-batch notice copy and should not be treated as a verified schedule for the 2026 batch.
| Document | What it tells you | Timing stated in the 2025-batch notice copy |
|---|---|---|
| Exam city slip | The examination city, not the exact centre address. | At least 10 days before Stage I. |
| E-admit card | The exact examination-centre address. | 2–3 days before the examination. |
How are examination cities assigned?
The 2025-batch notice copy says candidates provide five city preferences, but the Coast Guard reserves the right to assign a city different from those choices. Because this information comes from a notice for another batch, check the notice that applies to your recruitment cycle for its current instructions.
