Candidates should use the official PO/MT-XVI portal and check the matching notification for what can be edited and whether a fee applies. These dates are for PO/MT-XVI; they do not establish the schedule or rules for Specialist Officer recruitment.
When does the IBPS PO form correction window open?
IBPS lists July 29 through July 30, 2026 as the commencement and closure dates for editing application details for Common Recruitment Process for Probationary Officers/Management Trainees (CRP PO/MT-XVI). The official PO/MT-XVI application portal provides the registered-candidate login for this process.
The date July 31 in the earlier headline does not match the schedule shown on that portal. Check the cycle-specific portal and notification for any official update before acting.
How to access the correction option
- Open the official CRP PO/MT-XVI application portal.
- Choose the registered-candidate login and use the correction or editing option during the stated schedule.
- Review the application carefully, complete any online payment the portal requires, and save or print the receipt and application if needed. The portal lists editing, online payment, receipt printing, and application printing among its registered-candidate functions.
IBPS cautions that submitting the online form does not itself mean the candidate has met every criterion in the notification. Check the eligibility requirements separately.

What can you change, and is there a correction fee?
The PO/MT-XVI portal information reviewed states the editing dates and login functions, but does not establish a field-by-field list of editable details or a correction fee. Do not assume that a particular field can be changed or that a fee is due based on another recruitment cycle. Consult the PO/MT-XVI notification for the applicable rules.
IBPS’s CRP FAQ directs candidates to the relevant notification for correction rules and says: “Edit window option may be exercised during the schedule as per the Notification.” Read the FAQ alongside the notification for your own recruitment cycle.

Are PO and Specialist Officer correction dates the same?
Not necessarily. The July 29–30 schedule cited here is specifically for PO/MT-XVI. IBPS identifies PO/MT and Specialist Officer recruitment as separate processes within its Common Recruitment Process; the available official information does not establish one shared correction date or universal edit rules. SO candidates should use the Specialist Officer portal and notification for their own cycle rather than relying on the PO/MT-XVI dates.

No. IBPS’s homepage lists October 6 and 7, 2026 notices about edit windows for CRP-RRBs-XV, a separate recruitment process. Those RRB notices do not establish a change to the PO/MT-XVI schedule or provide dates for Specialist Officer recruitment. Check the relevant cycle-specific notice on the IBPS website.
