When did Agniveervayu 02/2025 registration close?
The Indian Air Force accepted online applications from 8 July 2024 through 28 July 2024. The deadline was 11:00 p.m. on 28 July. The notification advised candidates to register early and said no extension would be accommodated. Applications had to be submitted online at agnipathvayu.cdac.in; the notice said only online-registered applications would be accepted.
Because this window has ended, the dates and fee below should not be used as current application details for another intake. The reviewed notice does not establish whether a later intake is open.
Who was eligible to apply?
Age and marital status
The eligible date-of-birth range was 3 July 2004 to 3 January 2008, inclusive. Candidates who cleared all selection stages also had to be no older than 21 on the date of enrolment. Only unmarried candidates were eligible for enrolment, and selected candidates had to undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period.

Education pathways
The notice provided separate qualification routes for science and other-than-science subjects:
- Science subjects: A 10+2 qualification with Mathematics, Physics and English, with at least 50% aggregate and 50% in English. The notice also listed eligible engineering diploma and vocational-course routes.
- Other-than-science subjects: 10+2 or equivalent in any stream, with at least 50% aggregate and 50% in English.

How did the application and fee work?
For this intake, candidates had to register and apply online through the Agniveervayu portal. A contemporaneous Scroll report stated that the examination fee was ₹550 plus GST, payable through the payment gateway by debit card, credit card or internet banking. That amount is reported for the 2024 application window only; it is not a current fee for a later intake.
The available notice and reporting establish the online application channel and payment methods, but do not provide a reliable, step-by-step record of every screen or field. For any future cycle, follow that intake’s official notice and portal rather than assuming the 2024 process or fee is unchanged.

The notification described three broad phases:
- Phase I: Online examination. Marks were subject to normalization, and candidates were shortlisted for later stages.
- Phase II: Further testing, including the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability testing.
- Medical examination: Candidates who qualified the preceding stages were required to undergo a medical examination.
The PFT included a 1.6 km run, followed by additional exercises for candidates who qualified the run. The notice advised candidates to bring sports shoes and shorts or track pants. It did not endorse a particular shoe or brand.
What were the exam and result dates?
The selection test was scheduled to begin on 18 October 2024. The notification listed 14 May 2025 for display of the merit-wise Provisional Select List and 30 May 2025 for publication of the final enrolment list. These are the milestones stated for Intake 02/2025, not dates for a subsequent intake.
Being named in the Provisional Select List did not guarantee enrolment. The notification made enrolment conditional on merit, medical fitness, vacancies, age and eligibility requirements.

The notice described a four-year engagement under the Agnipath Scheme. It also said the selection test was not for selection as commissioned officers, pilots, navigators or airmen. The number and employability of female candidates would be determined according to service requirements.
The Indian Air Force notification states that selection is “fair & transparent” and based on merit only. It says no bribe is required and cautions candidates about people posing as recruiting or selecting agents. For official updates or queries, use the CASB portal, not an intermediary claiming to secure selection.
