Registration was open from 11:00 on 17 January 2024 to 23:00 on 6 February 2024, and the online examination was scheduled to begin on 17 March 2024. This was a selection test for Agniveervayu under the Agnipath scheme—not recruitment for commissioned officers, pilots, navigators or airmen.
What the Intake 01/2025 notification covered
The Indian Air Force notice invited unmarried Indian male and female candidates to apply online for the Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 selection test. The application portal named in the notice was agnipathvayu.cdac.in. This is a historical intake, not an open application opportunity.
The notice described a four-year military-life opportunity under the Agnipath scheme. It did not promise further enrolment after that period: any subsequent enrolment was subject to the Government of India’s discretion. The notice also said the number and employability of female candidates would depend on service requirements.

Age limit and applicant group
The notification’s date-of-birth block ran from 2 January 2004 through 2 July 2007, inclusive. Candidates who cleared every selection stage also had to be no older than 21 at enrolment. Applicants were required to be unmarried Indian men or women. These are the eligibility details stated for Intake 01/2025, not a substitute for checking the full notification’s other requirements.
How the selection test was structured
Phase I online test
Phase I was an objective-type online test. Questions were bilingual in English and Hindi, except for the English paper. The notice said registered candidates would receive admit-card details by email 48–72 hours before the examination; a provisional admit card could also be downloaded through the candidate login on the CASB portal.

Electronic-device restriction
Mobile phones, smart watches and other electronic devices were prohibited in the Phase I and Phase II testing areas. The notice warned that possession of such devices could lead to permanent debarment.

For a current opportunity, check the latest official intake notice at the CASB portal rather than relying on dates or requirements from 01/2025.
Beware of recruiting-agent or bribe claims
The Indian Air Force warned candidates against purported recruiting or selecting agents and stated: “SELECTION IN THE INDIAN AIR FORCE IS ‘FAIR & TRANSPARENT’ AND ON MERIT ONLY. AT NO STAGE ANY BRIBE IS REQUIRED TO BE PAID TO ANYONE FOR SELECTION OR RECRUITMENT IN THE INDIAN AIR FORCE.”
