The Haryana Group C CET 2022 result was declared on 10 January 2023. The original CET-I qualifying threshold was 47.50 out of 95 for General-category candidates and 38.00 out of 95 for reserved-category candidates who were bona fide Haryana residents. Qualifying did not guarantee a job: it made candidates eligible to apply for advertised posts and take the relevant next-stage recruitment examination.

Current-status note: Later Punjab and Haryana High Court orders changed the legal context. The 27 March 2026 review order treats Group 56–57 differently from recruitment for 24 other groups. Check HSSC’s current notices and your candidate login for your own status; the current HSSC results index does not establish whether an amended 2022 scorecard is available.

When did the HSSC CET 2022 result come out?

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) held the Group C Common Eligibility Test on 5 and 6 November 2022 and declared its result on 10 January 2023. Candidates accessed the result through their login IDs. The scorecard identified itself as a provisional official result and reported normalized written-exam marks out of 95. The scorecard text is reproduced in a PDF hosted by Maharaja Agrasen College; for current candidate-specific information, use HSSC’s own results index.

A later High Court order recounted the Commission Secretary’s affidavit as saying that 359,147 candidates provisionally qualified CET-I. That is a provisional qualification count, not a count of appointments; the figure appears in the Punjab and Haryana High Court’s 27 March 2026 order.

What were the original HSSC CET 2022 qualifying cut-offs?

Candidate category Original CET-I qualifying marks Equivalent share of written-exam marks
General 47.50 out of 95 50%
Reserved categories, vertical and horizontal, for bona fide Haryana residents 38.00 out of 95 40%

These are the original CET-I qualifying marks shown on the 2022 scorecard, not the final cut-offs for particular advertised jobs. A post’s recruitment could have further eligibility rules and a separate selection process.

What does “qualified” mean on the scorecard?

CET-I was a qualifying exam. As the Commission Secretary’s affidavit is quoted in the High Court’s 27 March 2026 order, “the qualified candidates become eligible to apply for the posts which are published and for which written examination i.e. CET-II is conducted.” In other words, crossing the CET-I threshold did not itself amount to selection or appointment.

The scorecard displayed normalized CET written marks separately from socio-economic marks. It also said candidate category and sub-category details were based on Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) data and that a result could be provisional if the data did not match. The scorecard expressly warned that holding it did not confer a right to appointment. See the reproduced scorecard text.

How did later court decisions affect the result and recruitments?

On 31 May 2024, the Punjab and Haryana High Court set aside the socio-economic criteria and the CET result declared on 10 January 2023, directing preparation of a fresh merit list based on CET marks. The court’s later review did not treat every recruitment alike. In its order dated 27 March 2026, the High Court left its interference with Group 56–57 recruitment in place, while reviewing the part of the 2024 decision that had quashed recruitment for 24 other groups. It said candidates selected and appointed in those 24 groups could continue in service in accordance with law. Read the 27 March 2026 review order.

So it is incomplete to say simply that “the 2022 result was cancelled” without explaining the later review. The order distinguishes Group 56–57 from the 24 other groups; it does not establish that every later recruitment is invalid or that every candidate’s original scorecard was restored. The HSSC results index does not resolve an individual candidate’s current scorecard or recruitment status.

How to check your result or current status

  1. Open HSSC’s official results index and look for current notices relating to CET or the recruitment for your group.
  2. Use the candidate login linked from the relevant HSSC notice to check your individual scorecard or status. Do not assume an old result page or saved scorecard reflects a later change.
  3. Match any notice to your recruitment group, especially whether it concerns Group 56–57 or one of the 24 other groups discussed in the 2026 review order.
  4. Follow the instructions and dates in the current notice. The available HSSC index does not confirm that a revised 2022 scorecard is currently available.

What if your scorecard details were wrong?

HSSC’s public notice dated 11 January 2023 referred to the 10 January result notice and said an online facility would be provided to correct scorecard particulars, with a 15-day window after the correction notice. It told candidates not to visit the Commission for those corrections. This was historical guidance, not confirmation that the correction facility remains open. Check current HSSC notices for any present process. Read HSSC’s 11 January 2023 notice.
