The HPPSC HPAS 2024 preliminary examination was scheduled for June 30, 2024. That date has passed, so the 2024 registration is not open now. The official handbook set out the two-paper prelims schedule; later HPPSC notices covered the separate 2024 mains application period.
When was the HPAS prelims 2024 exam?
HPPSC’s HPAS Preliminary Examination 2024 handbook scheduled both papers for June 30, 2024:

Was HPPSC HPAS 2024 registration still open?
No. The June 30 prelims and the 2024 application period are historical. Do not rely on the old registration notice as an opportunity to apply now.

A later notice concerned the mains stage, not preliminary registration: HPPSC’s August 23, 2024 press note reopened the online mains application link until August 27, 2024, at 11:59 p.m., following an earlier August 19 deadline. Those dates applied only to the 2024 mains application window.
What happened at the 2024 mains stage?
HPPSC’s 2024 mains candidate instructions covered examinations scheduled in October 2024. For that cycle, candidates needed an e-admit card and a valid identity card to enter, and entry was barred after a paper’s scheduled start. These were 2024 instructions; check the relevant notice for any later cycle.
The separate HPAS 2024 mains instructions list optional subjects and explain that compulsory English and Hindi papers had to be qualified, but their marks were excluded from the overall ranking.

For a current application, use the advertisement and notices for the applicable HPAS cycle on the HPPSC website, rather than carrying over dates or exam-day rules from 2024. HPPSC advises candidates to read the relevant exam or post notification and confirm they meet its eligibility conditions. The Commission says syllabus and test-scheme information is published on its official website.
