What Uber One Family Sharing includes
Uber announced Family Sharing in the United States on November 24, 2025, saying eligible members could add one adult and an unlimited number of teens at no additional cost. Examples of shared benefits include a $0 Delivery Fee on eligible orders and the ability for family members to earn their own Uber One credits on eligible rides. Uber’s announcement describes the offer; the exact benefits available to a secondary member should be checked in the app and local terms.

Uber Help’s setup page describes inviting one adult and lists $0 Delivery Fee and 5% Uber One credits on eligible rides as shared benefits. That Help page does not describe teen setup, so the announcement’s teen provision and the Help page’s adult instructions should not be treated as interchangeable setup guidance. “Free delivery” has conditions
A $0 Delivery Fee is not a promise that every order is cost-free. In the United States, Uber says the benefit applies to eligible standard deliveries at participating stores and may require an order minimum. Taxes and other fees may still apply, and priority or long-range delivery can carry additional charges. The merchant and service must also be marked eligible where Uber operates.

Who can use Family Sharing?
Eligibility depends on membership type and market. Uber’s U.S. announcement excludes Preview and Student plans, free or extended trials, partner offers, and Uber for Business or Uber for Government memberships. Check the terms for the country where the membership was purchased rather than assuming these exclusions or other rules apply everywhere.
Uber’s India membership terms say that family sharing may not be available everywhere, that the primary member needs an eligible paid membership, and that both accounts must be in the same country where the membership was purchased. Those India terms describe sharing with one linked secondary adult at a time, intended for members of the same household; the secondary member can be replaced once per calendar year. How to add a family member
For the adult invitation flow documented by Uber Help, use the Uber or Uber Eats app:
- Open the app and tap Account.
- Tap Uber One, then Manage membership.
- Choose Family sharing and tap Invite someone.
- Follow the in-app prompts to send the invitation.
If you do not see Family sharing, your membership or location may not be eligible, or the feature may not be available to your account. Check the Uber One page and your local membership terms; the documented Help flow covers an adult invite, while teen access is described in the U.S. announcement.

Which benefits may not transfer?
Do not assume that every perk attached to the primary membership is shared. Uber’s India terms say partner perks, third-party benefits, limited-time offers, and certain merchant promotions may remain exclusive to the primary member. Because those terms are India-specific, verify the local terms for any benefit that matters to your household.
Membership benefits can change. For example, Uber Help says the service-fee discount stopped for new U.S. members on March 9, 2026, while existing members retained it until April 8, 2026. That change illustrates why older articles or benefit lists may not describe the current offer. Check Uber Help’s membership-benefit changes and the current terms in the app before relying on a particular perk.

Is Family Sharing useful for your household?
It is most useful when the primary member is eligible, another household member can use the shared benefits, and the orders or rides they take qualify. Before inviting someone, check:
- Whether your plan and country support Family Sharing.
- Whether you need adult sharing, teen access, or both, and whether the relevant option appears in your app.
- Whether local merchants and order minimums make the delivery benefit usable for your usual orders.
- What conditions apply to ride credits and which benefits stay with the primary member.
Uber’s announcement and Help pages describe feature limits and examples, not a guaranteed savings amount. The value depends on which eligible deliveries and rides your family actually uses.
