Store purchases appear there only when linked to your account; if one is missing, scan its paper receipt in the app or try Walmart’s receipt lookup tool.
View an online order
- Sign in to the Walmart account used to place the order. Walmart says an account provides access to order history and digital receipts. If you need to sign in or create an account, start at Walmart’s account page.
- On Walmart.com or in the Walmart app, select Account, then Purchase History.
- Select the order to view its details. For a shipped order, select Track Shipment from Purchase History to follow its delivery, as described in Walmart’s tracking instructions.
Find an in-store purchase
Walmart says an in-store purchase can be added automatically when you pay with a card saved to your Walmart.com account and the name on the card matches the account name. Walmart also says it adds other store purchases made with saved cards from the previous 12 months. That window applies to adding certain past purchases; it is not a general promise about how long Walmart keeps purchase history.

To link a receipt yourself, open the Walmart app, tap the barcode icon in the search bar, and scan the receipt barcode. Walmart says purchases made with Walmart Pay and receipts scanned in the app can continue to appear in Purchase History even if you opt out of store purchases. Look up a missing store receipt
If you no longer have the paper receipt and the purchase is not in Purchase History, use Walmart’s receipt lookup tool. For supported debit or credit card purchases, have these details ready:

- The store ZIP code, or its city and state
- The purchase date and receipt total
- The card type and last four digits of the card number
- Completion of the CAPTCHA check
Walmart advises checking your financial statement to confirm the purchase date and amount. Its instructions direct customers who paid with a method other than a debit or credit card, or who need additional help, to chat support.

For pickup, delivery, or shipping, open Account > Purchase History, select the purchase, and scroll to the totals and payment information. Walmart identifies the barcode at the bottom of the order as proof of purchase. To print, open the order’s View details page and select the print icon.
