Call 1-800-HOME-DEPOT (1-800-466-3337), the number Home Depot’s corporate Contact Us page lists for customer questions. When the automated system answers, briefly state your issue and ask to speak with a customer-service representative. Home Depot does not publish a permanent keypad sequence that guarantees a live agent, so menu prompts may vary.
Choose the right Home Depot support channel

How to get a person by phone
- Dial 1-800-466-3337 (1-800-HOME-DEPOT).
- When the automated system answers, describe the reason for your call in a few words, such as “online delivery problem” or “return question.”
- Ask clearly: “Please connect me with a customer-service representative.”
- Follow the prompts that apply to your issue. If the menu does not recognize your request, repeat the request in plain language or ask for a representative again.
There is no Home Depot-published, universal “press 0” or other keypad shortcut that guarantees a live person. Phone menus and availability can change, and the official pages do not promise immediate human access or a response-time service level.
A practical script
“Hi, I need help with [my order/return/delivery/product/account]. Please connect me with a customer-service representative.” This wording is a practical suggestion, not a quoted Home Depot requirement.
Have your details ready
- Order number, if the issue involves an online purchase
- Email address or phone number used on the order
- Store number or location, when relevant
- Delivery address
- Important dates, such as the purchase, pickup or promised-delivery date
- Photos, tracking information or other details that explain the problem
Use Home Depot’s online support for order problems
Open the Customer Service Center for order status, pickup, shipping and delivery, cancellation, returns, refunds, recalls, and account or privacy topics. Home Depot also advertises text support at 38698 on its online-order and Customer Support pages.

Call your local Home Depot store
- Open the official Home Depot Store Locator.
- Enter a ZIP code, city, state or store number.
- Select the correct location from the results.
- Use the phone number and hours shown for that store.
A store result may also show separate numbers for a Pro Service Desk or Rental Center. Those departments can be more appropriate than the general store line for contractor accounts, tool rentals or commercial-service questions.

For an oversized online return, check the current instructions in the Customer Service Center rather than relying on old web pages. - Text 38698 when the issue fits Home Depot’s advertised text-support channel.
- For a store-specific matter, call the location shown by the Store Locator rather than the corporate line.
