First identify the accessory: a true Bluetooth page-turner connects wirelessly, while a common clip-on page-turner uses a screen sensor and a separate RF remote. The clip-on type does not pair with Kindle Bluetooth. Amazon’s general Kindle Bluetooth instructions cover supported audio devices—not page-turners—so confirm the exact accessory and Kindle model before trying to pair them.
Can a Bluetooth remote turn pages on a Kindle?
It depends on the accessory and the Kindle. Amazon’s general Bluetooth instructions for Kindle e-readers describe connecting supported audio devices, such as those used for VoiceView or audiobooks. They say Bluetooth pairing with phones, keyboards, and mice is unsupported. A generic Bluetooth remote that acts like a keyboard or mouse therefore should not be assumed to work just because the Kindle has Bluetooth.
There is a newer, narrower report: T3 reported on October 1, 2026, that Amazon introduced Kindle Click, a Bluetooth page-turner for Kindle e-readers made from 2024 onward. That is a secondary report, not an Amazon setup guide. Check the current listing and Amazon’s accessory-specific instructions for your exact model; do not extend the claim to generic Bluetooth remotes, older Kindles, Kindle apps, or other markets.
Identify your Kindle and page-turner first
Find your Kindle model
On the Kindle, swipe down, then open All Settings → Device Options → Device Info. Use the model and release year to check the accessory’s compatibility instructions. Amazon notes that Kindle models are not all released in every marketplace, so a retailer’s label such as “new Kindle” is not enough to establish compatibility. See Amazon’s Kindle identification instructions.

Check how the accessory connects
- Bluetooth page-turner: Connects directly to the Kindle over Bluetooth. Kindle Click is the reported example; verify current compatibility and setup directions for your device.
- Screen-sensor clip and RF remote: The clip senses or triggers a page-turn signal at the display, while a separate remote communicates with the clip by radio frequency (RF). This setup does not connect to Kindle Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
Product manuals describe different configurations, so follow the instructions supplied with your specific model rather than treating one clip’s setup as universal.
Pairing: what Amazon’s Bluetooth steps do—and do not—cover
Amazon documents the following process for supported Bluetooth audio devices. It can help you find the Kindle’s Bluetooth controls, but it is not a guaranteed setup procedure for Kindle Click or any other page-turner.

- Turn on the supported accessory, put it in pairing mode, and keep it near the Kindle.
- Open Quick Actions or the Menu icon.
- Select All Settings or Settings, then Wi-Fi & Bluetooth or Wireless.
- Turn Bluetooth on and select Bluetooth Devices to scan.
- Select the device and choose Connect. If a PIN prompt appears, select CONFIRM, then YES.
To remove a saved device, select Forget beside its name in the paired-device list. For page-turner-specific pairing, use the manufacturer’s instructions and confirm that they name your Kindle model.
Using a screen-clip page-turner with an RF remote
For this type, the clip and remote link to each other; the clip’s contact point must be positioned on the Kindle display. Depending on the model, placing it on one side or the other may control previous-page versus next-page movement.

- Power on the screen sensor.
- Press the RF remote to link it to the sensor, following the product’s manual.
- Place the clip on the display in the position specified for the direction you want.
- Test both page directions before settling in to read. If a turn does not register, adjust the contact point and check the manual’s placement guidance.
These steps reflect product-specific manuals, not a universal Kindle standard. A case or a different Kindle generation may affect fit or function; confirm compatibility with the accessory maker.
Built-in alternative on two 2024 Kindle models
Amazon documents double-tap page advance for the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition and Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (12th Generation), both released in 2024. To enable it, open All Settings → Device Options → Double tap, then tap twice quickly on the side or back of the device. Amazon says it tested its official cases but warns that the feature may not work with every third-party case. This option is not established for other Kindle models.

Amazon describes switch access for compatible Bluetooth devices on Fire tablets, including use to turn pages in Kindle books. That is a Fire tablet capability; it does not establish generic Bluetooth page-turner support on Kindle e-readers. Kindle apps on phones or tablets and desktop Kindle apps are also separate from Kindle e-reader compatibility.

Troubleshooting a connection or missed page turn
If you are pairing a supported Bluetooth audio device
- Temporarily turn off nearby Bluetooth accessories that could interfere with finding the device.
- Check whether the accessory connects to another device.
- Update the Kindle software, then restart both devices.
- Try resetting the devices only if the earlier steps do not help.
These are Amazon’s general troubleshooting suggestions for the supported Bluetooth connection described on its audio-device help page; they do not establish that a page-turner is compatible.
If you have a screen-sensor clip and RF remote
Do not search for the clip in Kindle Bluetooth settings. Check that the sensor is powered on, re-link the remote according to its own manual, and adjust the clip so its contact point sits where the instructions specify.
Quick Recap
Choosing the right approach
- Confirm whether the accessory uses direct Bluetooth or a screen-contact sensor with an RF remote.
- Match its documented compatibility to your Kindle’s exact model and release year.
- Check whether a case obstructs the clip or affects a built-in double-tap feature.
- Consider double-tap page advance only if you own one of the two supported Signature Edition models.
- Keep Kindle e-reader, Fire tablet, and Kindle app instructions separate.
