A redesign alone does not guarantee more leads or better rankings: treat changes as specific improvements to test.
1. Make it obvious who you serve
A business buyer should be able to tell quickly whether your MSP works with organizations like theirs, what IT problems you take responsibility for, and where you provide service. Use the homepage headline and opening copy to explain your priority industries, organization size, location and core services. Replace broad phrases such as “innovative IT solutions” with specific claims you can support.
Be precise about what makes your delivery different: for example, the scope of support, response process or experience with a particular business environment. Do not claim specialist expertise unless you can substantiate it. A Pronto Marketing case study about Fidelis describes a redesign intended to better reflect the provider’s commercial and nonprofit clients, decision-makers, services and growth market. It reports eight qualified leads in the first month after launch on September 8, 2025, and a Google position of 2 for “Managed IT Services Seattle”; those are outcomes for that specific client, not forecasts for other MSPs.
2. Give each major service its own decision path
Create a focused page for each important service you genuinely offer, such as managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, backup and recovery, or compliance support. A useful service page helps a prospective client decide whether to take the next step, rather than repeating generic benefits.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors#1 Best Overall
- Describe the business problem the service addresses and who it is for.
- Explain what is included, how delivery works and what is outside scope where that distinction matters.
- Place relevant proof near the claim it supports, such as a case study or named credential.
- Offer a next step appropriate to someone considering that service.
Useful related content can also help visitors understand terminology and find a route to action. In its DP Solutions case study, TSL Marketing describes updating an IT glossary to reflect language prospects might use and directing visitors toward a proposal page with clearer calls to action. Avoid creating thin pages that differ only by a few service keywords.
3. Match the call to action to the visitor’s intent
Use a prominent primary action that tells the visitor what will happen next, such as “Request an IT assessment” or “Discuss managed services.” If some buyers are not ready to talk, offer a secondary route to useful information. Place the primary action near decision-making content and repeat it on a long page where it is useful, rather than relying on a visitor to find a contact link in the footer.
Inspect actual visitor behavior before moving buttons or rewriting pages. Microsoft Clarity’s Maven Collective MSP-client case study says heatmaps exposed low visibility for calls to action; after repositioning them, the case reported a 200% increase in form submissions. That is a vendor-published, single-client result—not a typical or guaranteed lift.

4. Make contacting you straightforward
A form should request only the information needed to respond and qualify the inquiry responsibly. A long questionnaire can deter a suitable buyer; too little context can make useful follow-up harder. Choose fields that serve a clear purpose, identify required fields, and tell people what to expect after submitting.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Test the contact route on mobile and desktop, including keyboard navigation.
- Use clear field labels and instructions, and show a confirmation after successful submission.
- Check that forms, phone numbers and email links work and that inquiries reach the right team.
- Use analytics or session-insight tools to investigate problems such as repeated clicks or abandoned forms, with privacy practices appropriate to your site and jurisdiction.
The Clarity case study also describes using rage-click analysis while redesigning a contact form. Behavior tools can help identify a problem to investigate; they do not replace checking whether qualified inquiries actually increase.
5. Put checkable proof behind your claims
Business buyers need reasons to trust a provider with systems they depend on. Use current case studies, client quotations published with permission, named credentials, service coverage and clear explanations of your process. Keep evidence close to the service claim it supports. For results, identify the customer context and timeframe and avoid implying that your website alone caused a result if other marketing or sales activity contributed.
The DP Solutions case study reports performance from January 2018 through August 2021, including 39.3% growth in overall users, 41.2% growth in new users, and 39.8% more session traffic. It also reports $6,157,584 from 29 SEO wins and $1,562,740 from 13 SEM wins during that historical period. These are figures reported in a vendor case study for one client; they are neither current benchmarks nor evidence that a website by itself produced the revenue. Use the example as a reminder to connect marketing activity to outcomes, not as a promised target.
6. Measure lead quality through the sales pipeline
Traffic is useful context, but it does not establish that a site is attracting the right prospects or helping sales. Track, where practical, the source and landing page, service interest, completed inquiry, booked meeting, qualification, opportunity and eventual win. Compare results by channel and service as well as in total, and agree with the sales team on what counts as a qualified lead.

- Record a baseline for the pages and outcomes you want to improve.
- Choose a specific change, such as clarifying a service page’s audience or making its next step more visible.
- Review behavior and conversion data after the change, allowing enough time and traffic to interpret the result.
- Follow inquiries through qualification and sales outcomes; adjust if the page produces more submissions but not better-fit opportunities.
TSL’s DP Solutions case study describes investigating why increased traffic had not improved conversion and finding that the contact page was producing good conversions, then changing routes to a proposal page. It reports SEO and SEM wins over its stated 2018–2021 period, illustrating the value of tracing activity beyond visits; the figures are historical and client-specific.
7. Treat search, page experience and accessibility as foundations
Follow Google Search Central’s SEO Starter Guide for basics such as crawlable, descriptive and useful pages. Review usability and page experience too, but do not assume that one speed or design metric guarantees rankings. Google explicitly says page experience is not a single ranking signal.
Use the W3C’s WCAG resources to guide accessible content and interactions. As part of site quality assurance, check readable text, descriptive links, useful image alternatives, logical headings, keyboard access, mobile layouts and form labels. These general standards resources do not determine the legal obligations that apply to a particular business or jurisdiction.

An in-house update, agency redesign or managed website service may each fit a different MSP. Compare the practical responsibilities and terms before choosing:
- Who owns and controls the website, domain, content and accounts?
- Does the provider understand MSP buyers and have relevant examples with measurement methods?
- Does the scope cover the work you need—strategy, copy, design, SEO, development and ongoing updates?
- How are accessibility, security, privacy and performance handled?
- Can the site connect to your CRM and analytics, and how will qualified leads and sales outcomes be reported?
- What are the total costs, contract terms and exit arrangements?
Client case studies demonstrate that specialist services and measurement software are used for this work, but do not establish which vendor is best for a particular MSP. Ask how the provider will define a qualified lead and report results, rather than accepting traffic or form totals as the sole measure.
How much should website and SEO matter?
A website is one part of an MSP’s go-to-market mix, not a substitute for referrals, events or sales follow-up. In MSP Global’s Summer 2025 report, 23% of 35 sales and marketing respondents selected website/SEO among effective ways to generate new conversations; 71% selected industry events and 51% customer referrals. These are self-reported answers from a small survey, not population-wide estimates or proof that one channel causes better results.
