For U.S. Dashers, DoorDash’s stated way to get a 1099-NEC online is through the Dasher app: open Earnings → View payout details → Tax documents, select the tax year, then open and save or share the PDF. DoorDash’s guide does not establish a separate browser-based download route for Dashers.
How to download your DoorDash 1099-NEC

Update the Dasher app to the newest version if an update is available.

On the home screen, tap the earnings pill to open Earnings.

Who receives a form, and when is it available?
DoorDash says U.S. Dashers who earned $600 or more on its platform between January 1 and December 31 receive a 1099-NEC. Its guide says eligible forms are available through the app by January 31. The $600 threshold and January 31 date are DoorDash’s stated guidance; the date is not a guarantee that every account will display a form regardless of eligibility or account status.
If you are checking before January 31, the form may not yet have been released for that tax year. DoorDash’s guide says Dashers below the stated earnings threshold do not receive a 1099 form under this guidance.

Why can’t I see my DoorDash tax form?

Tax documents is missing: Update the Dasher app. DoorDash says the feature may not appear if you are not using the newest version.

Your account is deactivated, or access still fails: Contact DoorDash Support. DoorDash does not specify a resolution time.

You opted out of electronic delivery: DoorDash says it mails the form, with the paper copy postmarked by January 31; postal delivery can take up to 10 business days. Mailing details may vary by tax year, so check the current DoorDash guide for the applicable year.

What the 1099-NEC does—and does not—tell you
DoorDash describes the U.S. 1099-NEC as an information form summarizing earnings as an independent contractor. It says it sends the information on the form to the IRS and relevant state tax authorities. DoorDash also says it does not automatically withhold taxes, and that Dashers are responsible for tracking and accurately reporting earnings.
The form is not a breakdown of total earnings among base pay, tips, boosts, and milestones. If its amount differs from your records, review your own earnings information and consult a qualified tax professional about how to handle the discrepancy. DoorDash’s guide recommends professional help for tax questions; retrieving the PDF alone does not determine how to prepare or file your return.
This route is for U.S. Dashers
DoorDash’s 1099-NEC instructions apply to U.S. Dashers. Other jurisdictions and recipient types may use different documents and retrieval processes. For example, DoorDash’s Canada reporting guide describes an annual personalized report accessed in the app and says the earliest selectable year is 2024; that is not the U.S. 1099-NEC process. Merchants should use tax-document guidance for their merchant account rather than these Dasher steps.
