U.S. Dashers can find their DoorDash 1099-NEC in the Dasher app: open Earnings → View payout details → Tax documents, select the tax year, then open the PDF and use the share icon to save, export, or print it. These steps apply to the U.S. flow; Puerto Rico uses different tax documentation.
Where to find your DoorDash 1099 in the Dasher app
- Open the latest version of the Dasher app and tap the earnings pill on the home screen to open Earnings.
- Tap View payout details, then Tax documents.
- Choose the tax year from the dropdown.
- Open the displayed form PDF. Tap its share icon to save, export, or print the document.
DoorDash’s current U.S. guide says the earliest selectable year is 2024. If Tax documents is missing, update the app and check again. DoorDash’s Dasher Guide to Taxes has the current app instructions.
Who receives a DoorDash 1099-NEC, and when?
DoorDash says U.S. Dashers who earned at least $600 on its platform from January 1 through December 31 receive a 1099-NEC for that calendar year. Its guide says the prior-year form is available in the app by January 31. These are DoorDash’s stated platform threshold and schedule; the tax year’s details can change.
Not receiving a DoorDash form does not, by itself, determine whether income must be reported on a tax return. DoorDash describes a 1099-NEC as an information form for earnings and proceeds other than wages, salaries, and tips reported on a W-2. For questions about what to report or how income is treated, consult a qualified tax professional.

What to know about 2025 forms and tips
For the 2025 tax year, DoorDash says U.S. Dashers who opted out of electronic delivery by January 10, 2026, would receive a paper form at the address on file, postmarked by January 31, 2026. DoorDash cautions that postal delivery may take up to 10 business days and can be delayed by USPS disruptions. Those dates apply to the 2025 tax year, not automatically to later years.
DoorDash also says 2025 tip income is reported separately from the 1099, with an email stating the total tips earned during 2025 due by January 31, 2026. This describes DoorDash’s tax-document process; it does not determine whether a particular tax deduction applies to you.

Why you can’t see your DoorDash tax documents
- The app may be out of date: Update it, then follow the Earnings path again.
- The wrong year may be selected: Open the dropdown under Tax documents and select the relevant tax year.
- Your platform earnings may be below DoorDash’s threshold: DoorDash says it does not issue a 1099-NEC when platform earnings for the calendar year are below $600.
- Your account may be deactivated, or the file may still be inaccessible: Contact DoorDash Support if you cannot access or download the document after checking the app and year.
DoorDash advises Dashers to check the physical address in the app by December 31. For a name or TIN correction requested after January 31, or an address change to a different state, contact Support. The guide says an address change within the same state will not be reflected on the tax form.

The steps above describe the U.S. Dasher app process. DoorDash says people who live and work in Puerto Rico receive Form 480.6SP for local reporting instead of the U.S. Form 1099-NEC. Dashers in other countries should use the country-specific DoorDash tax guidance.
