SimSim is a legacy name. FINCA said SimSim became FINCA Pay, while the current Google Play listing identifies the successor app as ABHI Bank, formerly ABHI Microfinance Bank and previously FINCA Microfinance Bank/FINCA Pay. Find and verify the official ABHI Bank listing before installing; do not rely on an old SimSim app listing.
Before you apply: check eligibility and documents
FINCA’s digital-account onboarding page says applicants must be citizens of Pakistan and at least 18 years old. It lists these requirements:
- A NADRA-issued CNIC or SNIC.
- Proof of income and income details.
- A mobile number registered against the applicant’s identity.
- A camera-enabled device for the onboarding process.
The bank says photograph or video-call sessions may be recorded for bank use. Eligibility and steps can depend on the particular account, so check the current instructions in the official app. FINCA digital account onboarding
Install the current app and open an account
- Find the verified listing. Search for ABHI Bank in Google Play and check that the publisher and listing correspond to the bank. FINCA’s transition notice explains the SimSim-to-FINCA Pay change; the current listing uses the ABHI Bank name. FINCA transition notice · ABHI Bank Google Play listing
- Start signup in the app. The store listing describes entering your mobile number and confirming it with an OTP.
- Provide identity details. Follow the app’s prompts for basic identity information and any required onboarding checks. Have your CNIC/SNIC and income information ready.
- Set your login PIN. The listing describes setting a four-digit PIN. Keep it private and do not reuse or share it with anyone claiming to be support.

What you can do after setup
FINCA described FINCA Pay as offering money transfers and bill payments without a minimum balance requirement. The current app listing also describes sending money and paying bills. These are published product features; they do not establish that every transfer route or feature is available to every user or account tier. The available sources do not provide a complete current fee schedule or all transaction limits. Protect your account and get help
- Do not share OTPs, PINs, or other secret codes.
- Review your transaction history regularly.
- Contact the bank promptly if you notice a transaction you did not authorize.
- If your phone or registered SIM is lost, use support details from the verified current app listing or the bank’s official website.

Why older SimSim information may not match
SimSim launched as a collaboration between FINCA Microfinance Bank and Finja. In a 2017 announcement, FINCA reported 600 million PKR in pilot transactions and 30,000 self-registered wallet accounts; those are historical pilot figures, not current usage numbers. The release quoted then-CEO M. Mudassar Aqil describing the service’s hoped-for contribution to financial inclusion and digitization.
