These are the steps in Cash App’s published instructions dated May 1, 2026. Use the number shown in your own account, not a routing number copied from an unofficial list.
If your account details are missing
Cash App says a Cash App Card is required to access the account and routing numbers. The company’s instructions explain how to order one from the Money tab; follow the in-app card-ordering flow or contact Cash App Support if the details remain unavailable. Do not substitute a number found online: the instructions direct you to the details for your own account.

- Use your Mastercard Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted, including online. Your Amazon.com Balance cannot be used to purchase Mastercard gift cards.
What you can use the numbers for
Cash App identifies employer direct deposit as the most common use of these details. It also lists government payments and some electronic payments or transfers. Whether a particular employer, agency, or financial institution accepts them depends on that payer’s setup requirements, so confirm before submitting the form.
Cash App’s U.S. Terms of Service, last updated June 4, 2026, say direct deposits made with the provided account and routing numbers are generally processed as ACH transfers. The terms state a $25,000 per-transaction limit for direct deposit to a Cash App Balance; check the current terms and your account eligibility before relying on that limit.

- To access your card information safely, type the complete website address shown on your Gift Card (MyGift.GiftCardMall.com) directly into your browser's address bar. Don't use search engines or shortened versions of the website address, as these may lead you to fake or fraudulent sites. Do not provide any Gift Card details (example: Card Number) to someone you do not know or trust. If you believe you've reached an illegitimate website, contact cardholder service at 1-888-524-1283. Be cautious of phishing sites, there are a variety of scams in which fraudsters try to trick others into paying with gift cards.
- To report your Lost or Stolen Physical Visa Card, call Customer Service 24/7 at 1 (888) 524-1283 to cancel your Gift Card as soon as you can. You will be asked to provide the Gift Card number and other identifying information.
- Use your Visa Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, including online.
Cash App is not a traditional bank
Cash App describes itself as a financial services platform, not a traditional bank; banking services are provided through partner banks. The account and routing numbers are for the Cash App account details shown in your app, not a universal Cash App routing number.
