To find your eBay tax form, open My eBay, select Payments, scroll to Payment reports and taxes, then choose Form 1099-K. eBay documents this route, but app labels can vary; if you do not see the tax section, use eBay in a browser or open Seller Hub.
Find the form in My eBay
- Open the eBay app and go to My eBay.
- Tap Payments.
- Scroll to Payment reports and taxes.
- Select Form 1099-K to view your form.
These are the steps in eBay’s documented My eBay route. The instructions do not guarantee that every mobile-app version uses identical labels or screens. If the route is missing from your app, sign in to eBay in a browser and look under My eBay, or use Seller Hub. eBay’s Form 1099-K help page describes the available access routes.
Use Seller Hub or request transaction detail
Seller Hub is an alternative for electronic tax forms and detailed reports:
- Open Seller Hub and choose Payments.
- Select Taxes, then 1099-K details.
- To generate the detailed report, select Generate.
If you want to reconcile the transactions behind the form, use My eBay: Payments → Payment reports and taxes → Form 1099-K → Request 1099-K detailed report. eBay says it will email you when the report is ready. The report breaks down the unadjusted gross payment transactions included in the form. See eBay’s instructions for reconciling sales transactions.

Why your Form 1099-K may not appear
A 1099-K is issued to eligible sellers; selling on eBay does not by itself mean you will receive one. For tax year 2025, eBay’s guidance says the federal reporting threshold is gross payments exceeding $20,000 and more than 200 transactions. Backup withholding, other payments subject to withholding, and lower state reporting thresholds can also result in a form. State rules vary; check the guidance for your state and tax year rather than assuming the federal threshold applies. eBay’s 1099-K and tax withholding FAQs explain these conditions.
If you have multiple eBay accounts linked to the same tax ID, eBay says it combines their payments and transactions when determining whether the threshold is met. If it is, eBay may issue a separate form for each account. A missing form can therefore reflect eligibility, withholding, state rules, timing, or which account you are viewing.

For tax year 2025, eBay said it would provide eligible sellers’ forms by January 31, 2026. That date and the eligibility rules apply to that tax year; they are not a guarantee of the deadline or threshold for a later year.
What the form’s amount means
Form 1099-K reports gross reportable payments processed during the calendar year. eBay says the reported amount does not subtract adjustments such as credits, discounts, fees, or refunds; sales tax and canceled transactions are excluded. As a result, the form’s total can differ from your net payouts and is not, by itself, a calculation of your taxable income or tax due. Use the detailed report to reconcile activity, and consult a qualified tax professional about how transactions apply to your return.
