On Venmo.com, select Statements in the sidebar, choose the period, and click Download CSV.
Download a statement in the Venmo app
- Open Venmo and go to Settings.
- Tap Statements.
- Choose the year and month you need from the dropdown menus.
- Select the option to download the statement to your device or send it to your email address.
Venmo says it will email the statement if the file is too large to download directly to your device. The statement is a downloadable CSV transaction history, not a PDF. See Venmo’s Transaction History instructions.

Download a statement on Venmo.com
- Sign in to your account at Venmo.com.
- Click Statements in the sidebar.
- Choose the month and year. To switch years, click the year shown at the top of the dropdown menu.
- Click Download CSV.
Get a statement for the right profile
Venmo offers statements for personal accounts, Teen Accounts, business profiles, and charity profiles, in the app and on the web. If your account has multiple profiles, check that you have selected the one whose transactions you need.
Teen Account
Only the parent or guardian account holder can access a Teen Account’s statements. On the website, the linked parent or guardian signs in, selects the Teen Account from the profile selector, and chooses the requested period. See Venmo’s Transaction History guidance.

Charity profile
Sign in to the personal account linked to the charity in a web browser. Click Statement in the sidebar, then select the charity profile from the dropdown. Venmo describes this route in its Charity Profile FAQs.
Business profile
Open Settings > Statements or the statement page, select the business profile from the profile selector, and download the CSV. Venmo’s sales-tax guidance discusses sales-tax totals in the business statement view; that does not establish that the same field appears for every profile.

Statement, tax form, or personal-data report?
These are different records with separate access routes. A statement is a CSV of transaction history. A tax document, such as Form 1099-K, is not the same as a statement, and not every user receives tax forms.
- For a tax document: If Venmo has notified you that documents are available, open Settings > Tax Documents in the app or on the website. See Venmo’s tax FAQ.
- For a broader copy of personal data: On Venmo.com, go to Settings > Privacy > Request your data, choose the data and file type, and submit the request. Venmo says the encrypted report is usually emailed within 1–2 calendar days, but can take up to 30 days. This timing applies to the data report, not a monthly statement. Details are in Venmo’s data request instructions.
Using a statement for tax records
A transaction statement can help you review and keep records of payments, including when Venmo does not issue you a tax document. It does not replace a tax form or determine whether a payment is taxable.

Venmo describes the Form 1099-K reporting threshold for the 2025 calendar year as more than $20,000 in goods-and-services payments and more than 200 separate transactions. Personal friends-and-family payments are excluded from that stated threshold, and some states have lower thresholds. These are reporting rules for that tax year; receiving a form does not, by itself, establish that the amount reported is taxable income.
