To promote tour dates on Instagram, send fans to a current artist events page or a tour-specific link in a link hub, where they can find show details and the appropriate ticket destination. Instagram is the promotional route; the event page or ticketing page is where fans check the listing and continue to tickets.
Prepare one reliable destination for your tour dates
Before posting, make sure each announced show appears on the artist events page or ticketing page you plan to share, with a working path to the right tickets. A single events page can collect upcoming shows and give fans one place to look, but the sources below do not establish that listings sync automatically or guarantee a particular checkout experience.
Bandsintown for Artists describes its Events Landing Page as a shortened URL unique to an artist’s upcoming events, intended for sharing on social media and in a profile bio. See Bandsintown’s Events Landing Page guide.
- Check that each listing shows the date, city and venue clearly.
- Follow the ticket link yourself to confirm it leads to the intended event destination.
- Copy the event-page URL you want fans to use.
Put the tour link where Instagram visitors can find it
Add the copied event-page URL to your Instagram profile’s link area, or use a link hub if you want the tour destination alongside other links. Bandsintown’s social-promotion guide describes placing an events-page URL in a bio. Because Instagram’s current controls and eligibility rules are not established by the sources cited here, use the profile-link settings shown in your current app rather than relying on a fixed tap sequence or assumed link limit.
#1 Best Overall
Use a direct artist events page
A direct link is the simplest route when the main goal is to send profile visitors to upcoming shows and ticket options. Bandsintown describes sharing its Events Landing Page URL in a social bio; the artist events page remains the destination, rather than Instagram itself. See How to Use And Share Your Events Landing Page.
Use Linktree’s Tours and Events link
Linktree documents a Tours and Events link that can use an artist’s Seated or Bandsintown profile URL. Its setup is to add a link, give it a title, paste the artist URL and configure the display settings. Choose a plain label such as “Tour dates” or “Tickets” so fans can recognize the destination. Follow Linktree’s setup instructions.

A link hub is useful if your Instagram profile also points to music, merchandise or other destinations. Linktree recommends promoting its tour link through an Instagram bio, show-announcement captions and digital posters or QR codes; that is vendor guidance, not measured evidence of ticket sales. See Linktree’s Tours and Events promotion suggestions.
Share a show announcement in Stories
Bandsintown’s guide describes sharing an events-page URL in an Instagram Story and saving the Story to a Highlight, so visitors can find the tour information later. Story controls can change, and the source does not establish current Instagram eligibility or exact interface labels. Check the link options in your app before publishing, then verify the published Story and Highlight from a viewer’s perspective. Choose the destination that fits your setup
| Destination | What it does | Useful when | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Artist events page, such as Bandsintown’s Events Landing Page | Collects upcoming shows behind one shareable URL and points fans toward event details and ticket options. | You want a direct route centered on upcoming shows. | Confirm the dates are current and each show’s ticket destination is correct. |
| Linktree Tours and Events link | Uses a Seated or Bandsintown artist profile URL as a tour-focused link in a Linktree page. | You want the tour link alongside other profile destinations. | Give the link a clear title and verify the artist URL and display settings. |
The cited materials do not provide a neutral head-to-head comparison, pricing, or measured sales impact for these options. Choose based on whether you prefer a direct events-page URL or a hub that groups several destinations, and on how you will keep the show information current.
Check the fan experience before promoting the link
Open the destination on a phone and follow the route as a fan would. Confirm that a visitor can identify the date, city and venue, then reach the intended ticket page without confusion. This check matters whether the URL is in your profile, a Story or a link hub; the sources establish the general routing approach, not the completeness or mobile performance of any individual listing.

Know what Instagram does—and what these sources do not establish
The documented approach is to use Instagram to direct people to an artist events page or ticket destination. The sources do not confirm Instagram’s current native ticket features, ticketing integrations, account requirements, link limits or regional availability, nor do they establish that Instagram processes ticket payments. Check the current app controls and make the actual event or ticket page the destination fans use for show details and ticket access.
Spotify for Artists is a separate discovery surface, not an Instagram feature. Spotify says artist-profile event pages can show ticket links and a tour page, with event listings supplied by ticketing partners; its page also says Bandsintown can generate listings when a ticket provider is not a partner. See Spotify for Artists Live Events.
