On a computer, open the Google Business Profile for the exact business or location, choose Read reviews → Get more reviews, then save the QR code. Confirm the profile name and location first, and scan the saved code before printing or sharing it. Google says review QR codes can currently be generated only in a computer browser, not on a mobile device.

Get the QR code from the correct Business Profile

  1. On a computer, sign in to the Google Account that manages the Business Profile you want customers to review.
  2. Open that profile and check its displayed business name and, if applicable, its location. The profile you select determines which business the review link and QR code lead to.
  3. Select Read reviews, then Get more reviews.
  4. To save the code, right-click the QR code and save the image. If you want a digital option instead, copy the review link shown in the same flow.
  5. Scan the saved image with a phone and check that it opens the intended review flow before you distribute or print it. This is a practical verification step, not a formal procedure specified by Google.

Google’s current instructions say QR codes for reviews can only be generated in a computer browser, not on mobile devices. See Google Business Profile Help: Get more Google reviews.

Choose how to share the link or code

Format Useful for What to do
Review link Digital messages, such as email or chat Copy the link from Read reviews → Get more reviews and share it with customers.
QR code Printed materials, such as receipts or an in-store display Save the QR image, scan-test it, then add it to the material customers will see.

Google suggests sharing a review link or code in a thank-you email, on a receipt, after a chat interaction, or in-store. It does not publish a measured conversion comparison between the link and QR code. Its guidance is available at Get more Google reviews.

Check the review requirements before inviting customers

Customers must sign in to a Google Account to leave a review. The account does not have to use a Gmail address; Google says a non-Gmail email address can be used for a Google Account. See Google Maps Help: Add, edit, or delete Google Maps reviews and ratings.

Ask for honest feedback based on a genuine customer experience. Google prohibits offering free or discounted goods or services in exchange for a review, asking someone to change a review, or asking them to remove a negative one. Its policy describes incentives for reviews as fake engagement. See Google Business Profile Help and Google Maps Help.

Print and display the code carefully

You can place the saved code on a receipt or display it in your business. If you use a printed sign or holder, scan the final printed version with a phone before putting it out; checking only the saved image will not confirm that the printed code is readable. Google does not specify a required QR format, minimum print size, or scan distance, and it does not endorse a particular sign, printing service, or paid QR generator.
