Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFor Amazon.com orders, refunds, Prime, devices, and account issues, sign in and start at Amazon’s Customer Service page. Select the relevant order or issue, then use the self-service option, chat, or a phone callback if Amazon offers one. This is safer than calling a number from a search result or an unsolicited message.
Contact Amazon through its official support flow
Amazon’s support options depend on your account, country, and the issue you select. Amazon says its customer-service associates are available by chat or phone 24/7, but that does not mean every customer will see both methods for every problem. Its customer-service guidance describes the Customer Service Home Page as the starting point for orders, refunds, digital content, subscriptions, and devices.

On the Amazon website
- Go to amazon.com/gp/help/customer/contact-us and sign in.
- Select the order, product, or account issue that best matches your problem.
- Follow the prompts. Amazon may offer a self-service fix first, then chat or Request a phone call if those options are available.
Amazon also says you can search for “customer service” in the Amazon search bar to reach its support area. Starting from the official site or app helps you avoid look-alike support pages.
In the Amazon Shopping app
- Open the app and go to the account or menu area.
- Tap Customer Service, then select the order, product, or issue.
- Continue through the prompts to see available self-service, chat, or callback options.
Labels and their locations can differ by app version, device, and country, so use the closest matching support or help option rather than relying on an exact menu sequence.

Choose chat or a callback
Use chat when you want a written record, need to provide several details, or cannot take a call. Save the transcript or case reference. A phone conversation can be easier for real-time troubleshooting, but request a callback only through Amazon’s authenticated support flow; phone support may not appear for every issue.
Get help with an order, delivery, return, or refund
For a purchase problem, start with the order rather than a general complaint. Open Your Orders, select the affected purchase, and choose the relevant option for a late or missing delivery, damaged or incorrect item, return, or refund. The order page can show tracking, return instructions, and refund status before you need to contact an associate.
Missing, late, damaged, or incorrect items
- Marked delivered but missing: Check the delivery details, household members, neighbors, and likely safe locations before reporting it.
- Late or delayed: Review the current tracking information and use the order’s delivery-help option.
- Damaged or wrong item: Keep the packaging and take clear photos; select the problem that matches what arrived.
If the order was sold or fulfilled by a third-party seller, the order page may direct you to contact that seller first. Amazon may provide marketplace support or escalation options, but the seller, fulfillment method, payment method, and applicable policy can affect what remedy is available. A refund or replacement is not guaranteed in every case.
Refunds and returns
Check the return or refund status on the order page first. If a returned item has not been credited, the refund is overdue, or the return option appears wrong, contact support through that order. Have the order number, return tracking number, date you handed over the package, and any prior case reference ready. For a damaged or incorrect item, keep relevant photos.
If you cannot sign in to Amazon
Use Amazon’s login and account help for a forgotten password, lost access to an email address or phone, a one-time-password or two-step-verification problem, or an account that is locked, restricted, or closed. Follow any appeal or identity-verification instructions shown in the official account flow or in a message you have verified as genuinely from Amazon.
Without signing in, general help may still be available, but account-specific assistance can be limited and Amazon may require extra identity verification. Amazon’s accessibility-support guidance describes this limitation; the page is on Amazon’s UK help domain, so regional details may differ.
If you suspect someone changed your account details, avoid links in unexpected messages and open Amazon directly using the official address. Do not create a second account to get around a restriction or give an alleged support agent your password or verification code.
Rank #2
- For smartphones and computers: Works with devices that support wired headsets; connect via 3.5 mm jack or the included active USB-C adapter, while iPhone 7–14 require the Lightning bundle (sold separately).
- Check your phone port before ordering: Use the headphone jack if present, otherwise use USB-C; devices with a Lightning port need the Lightning bundle from Opis Technology.
- Push connectors in fully: Plugs must be inserted completely for proper audio and microphone function, and thick phone cases may need to be removed.
- Wired connection, no setup required: No Bluetooth, batteries or apps; if audio does not switch immediately, reconnect once or restart the phone.
- Classic retro handset experience: Traditional proportions, solid weight and coiled cable provide a familiar way to handle calls at home, work or travel.
Report scams, phishing, and suspicious activity
For a suspicious email, text, call, fake website, gift-card demand, or impersonation, use Amazon’s scam-reporting page. Amazon’s help guidance also lists [email protected] for forwarding suspicious correspondence as an attachment where possible. Amazon says it generally will not respond personally, though it may send an automatic confirmation.
- Do not click links, call numbers, or reply using contact details in the suspicious message.
- Do not share passwords, one-time codes, gift-card claim codes, full payment details, or remote-access credentials.
- Forward suspicious email as an attachment if possible, or report it through Amazon’s official page.
- If an order or account may be affected, sign in by entering Amazon’s address yourself and contact support there.
If you entered your Amazon password on a suspicious site, change it immediately and use a unique password. If you submitted card details, contact the card issuer; Amazon Pay’s anti-phishing guidance also advises considering removal of the card from your Amazon account. If you exposed bank details, contact your bank promptly. If you gave remote access to a device, disconnect it and change important credentials from a device you trust.
Report a suspicious product, seller, or activity
Amazon distinguishes an order question from a suspicious-activity report. For delivery, return, or refund issues, use Your Orders. For suspicious activity, its help guidance directs customers to Customer Service and Report Something Suspicious under Help with something else. For a product-page concern, use Report an issue with this product when available. See Amazon’s suspicious-activity reporting guidance. These routes can apply to counterfeit or unsafe goods, suspicious listings, stolen goods, gift-card fraud, unsolicited packages, or seller misconduct.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Get support for Kindle, Fire TV, Echo, and digital content
Use the Customer Service page and select the registered device, digital content, or subscription. Amazon says its support area can help with registered Kindle, Fire TV, and Echo devices, as well as subscriptions and digital content. Have the device model, any available serial number, the account email, the exact error message, and troubleshooting steps already tried. Use a device-specific contact method only if it appears on your regional Amazon support page.
Use the right Amazon support team
Amazon retail support is not the right destination for every Amazon service or role. Use the service-specific route for these issues:
Recommended Free Tools
| Need | Official route | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Seller Central account, listings, fulfillment, payments, or policy | Seller Central Contact Us | Sign in, open Help, choose Get help and resources, then select the issue and marketplace. Methods vary by account, marketplace, and issue. Review existing cases, including whether one is marked Pending Amazon Action or Pending Merchant Action, before opening another. See Seller Central support guidance. |
| Amazon Business sales, onboarding, or account questions | Amazon Business contact page | Forms and availability can vary by country. |
| AWS sales, technical, account, billing, compliance, abuse, or wrongful charges | AWS contact page | AWS is separate from Amazon.com retail support. For technical, account, or billing requests, sign-in and support-plan rules apply; technical support availability depends on the AWS support plan. |
| Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) account or publishing help | KDP Help | Sign in and use the Contact Us form. KDP says this is the only way to request phone support from a KDP representative and warns against sharing passwords or sensitive banking information through social media or ordinary email. See KDP account-security guidance. |
| Accessibility support | Amazon Accessibility Support guidance | The linked page is on Amazon’s UK help domain; phone, chat, or email details may differ by region. Search the Help site for the country associated with your account. |
| U.S. and Canada press inquiries | Amazon Press Center | The page lists [email protected] for press and [email protected] for AWS press. Amazon directs non-media inquiries to Customer Service. |
| Shareholder or investor-relations questions | Amazon Investor Relations | The page lists [email protected]. Its 1-800-522-6645 number is for the transfer agent and shareholder-transfer matters, not orders or retail account support. |
If Amazon’s support flow does not resolve the issue
- Open the official Customer Service page directly rather than following a search advertisement or message link.
- Sign in, then select the specific order or service involved; generic help categories may not show the same options.
- If the page loops or offers no suitable method, try the official Amazon app or a browser.
- Check whether the matter belongs to Seller Central, AWS, KDP, or Amazon Business rather than retail customer service.
- Review existing cases and keep the case number, chat transcript, dates, and screenshots of the issue or unavailable option.
- Retry later if a contact method is temporarily unavailable. Avoid opening duplicate cases or switching to an unverified phone number.
If the matter involves an unauthorized payment, contact your bank or card issuer as well as reporting it to Amazon. Amazon support cannot by itself resolve exposure of bank credentials, identity documents, or Social Security information; use the relevant financial institution or U.S. identity-theft resources for those issues.
Quick Recap
How to avoid fake Amazon customer-service numbers
- Start from Amazon’s official website or app, or enter the Customer Service URL yourself.
- Do not assume a phone number in a search result, third-party article, email, text, or caller ID belongs to Amazon.
- Never give a caller your password, one-time verification code, gift-card code, or remote access to your computer.
- For a callback, begin inside Amazon’s signed-in support flow and use the option shown for your issue.
- If a message claims there is a problem with your account or payment, verify it independently through Amazon instead of using its link or phone number.
