A strong rating can offer context, but it does not guarantee quality or sales results.
Define the copy you need before comparing gigs
Start with a short brief. It gives you a consistent basis for comparing sellers and helps both sides agree on what the package should deliver. Fiverr advises sellers to describe a Gig clearly and set expectations for the service: Setting expectations and delivering quality services.
- Asset: Name the format, such as a landing page, email, or ad.
- Audience: Describe who will read it and any relevant market or customer context.
- Purpose: State what action the copy should encourage.
- Inputs: List the product details, research, brand guidance, or existing copy you can provide.
- Deliverable: Specify the expected quantity, file or format, and any other concrete output.
Ask the seller to confirm that the gig covers this work before purchasing. If your brief does not match the listed service, clarify the scope rather than assuming the seller will infer it.
Compare package scope, not just the price
Fiverr package tiers let sellers offer up to three service levels for clients to compare, according to its Gig packages guidance. The tiers may differ in deliverables, quantity, included work, revision count, extras, price, and delivery time. Compare those terms line by line; do not assume a more expensive tier includes research, strategy, or another service unless it says so.
#1 Best Overall
| What to compare | What to check |
|---|---|
| Deliverable and quantity | Which asset will the seller write, and how many pieces or words are included? |
| Included work | Does the package explicitly include research, strategy, or other preparation you need? |
| Revisions | How many are included, and what does the seller consider a revision? |
| Turnaround | Does the listed delivery time fit your campaign schedule, and when does the clock start? |
| Price and extras | What is the total for the scope you need, including any required add-ons? |
Fiverr’s Gig-creation guidance says each package must offer at least one revision option. That does not tell you what a particular seller will change under that allowance, so ask for the seller’s definition before ordering: Fiverr’s guidance on setting expectations also stresses clear expectations around the service.
Check whether the samples fit your project
Look for writing samples in the same kind of asset you need and, if possible, for a comparable audience or market. A seller’s headline may describe a broad service; examples give you a more direct basis for judging whether the style and format appear relevant. Fiverr suggests that sellers offering written-word Gigs can provide PDFs with samples or reviews: Creating a Gig.
Ask which sample best represents the work you would receive for your brief. A sample does not, by itself, verify who wrote it or establish that it produced a particular business result. Treat it as evidence of apparent fit, not proof of performance.
Read reviews and seller levels as context
Fiverr public reviews include a star rating and written feedback, while freelancer levels are visible on Gig cards and pages. These are platform signals you can use alongside the scope and samples, not guarantees that the copy will fit your project or achieve a marketing outcome. See Fiverr’s pages on reviews and freelancer levels.

Read written feedback for concrete details that matter to your project, such as communication, following a brief, or responding to revision feedback. A pattern of relevant comments is more useful for your decision than treating the star rating alone as a prediction of campaign results.
Agree on the workflow before placing the order
Before checkout, confirm what information the seller needs, when delivery begins, how you should provide feedback, what counts as a revision, and what happens if you change the requested deliverable. These details matter especially when the work is custom or your brief may evolve.
Rank #4
Fiverr describes the order workflow as moving to “In Revision” when a buyer rejects a delivery, after which the freelancer resubmits based on buyer feedback. See Fiverr’s order status guidance. Clear feedback and an agreed scope help make that step more actionable; a request to revise is not a substitute for defining the original deliverable.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Use a final comparison checklist
- Does the gig match the asset, audience, and intended action in your brief?
- Are the exact deliverables and quantities stated?
- Do the samples appear relevant to your format and market?
- Have you read written reviews for specifics relevant to your needs?
- Are revision terms, delivery timing, price, and extras clear?
- Has the seller confirmed the inputs needed and the expected final format?
If a key term is unclear, ask before ordering. Compare the confirmed scope and process rather than selecting on price or rating alone.
