How to Check Petrol and Diesel Prices in Your Indian City

For an indicative IndianOil price, send RSP <space> Dealer Code of Petrol Pump by SMS to 92249 92249. Use the code for the relevant location, and check the pump’s displayed price before fuelling: IndianOil says prices can vary between outlets in the same city or sales area.

Get an indicative price by SMS

1. Open IndianOil’s official Petrol and Diesel Price page and find the dealer code for the city or outlet you want to check. The page provides example codes; for instance, it lists RSP 102090 for New Delhi.

IndianOil says daily petrol and diesel price changes take effect at 6 am. Query on the day you plan to buy fuel rather than relying on a saved rate or an older message. Prices may differ among outlets in the same city, town or sales area, so check the price displayed at your chosen pump before fuelling.

Compare like with like

When checking or comparing a quoted rate, note whether it is petrol or diesel, the city or sales area, the outlet if known, and the date and time checked. A city-level SMS result, a state RSP or price-build-up resource, and the price displayed at a particular pump answer different questions.
