In the Amazon UK app guide, the route is menu → Account → Manage gift card balance. Labels can vary by marketplace and app version.
Check your balance online
- Sign in to the Amazon account where you applied the gift card.
- Open Your Account, then select Gift cards.
- Read the balance displayed on the page. On Amazon.co.uk, the page also has a transaction section where you can review balance changes, including order IDs or serial numbers.
Amazon.co.uk explains that when you apply a gift card to an order or add it to your account for future purchases, Amazon stores the available balance so you can check it later. Amazon staff have also directed Amazon.com customers to Your Account → Gift cards, though that forum response dates from 2021.

Find your balance in the Amazon app
- Open the Amazon Shopping app and tap the menu icon.
- Choose Account.
- Tap Manage gift card balance.
This path comes from Amazon’s UK app guide. Menu names and placement may differ in another country or app version; if you do not see these labels, check the account area of your local Amazon app.

Gift card already added to your account
The balance shown in your account is the value associated with gift cards already applied to that account. If you have more than one Amazon account, check the one where you redeemed the card.

Unredeemed card or claim code
An unredeemed card is different from the balance stored in your account. Amazon’s reviewed help explains how to view an account balance and separately how to redeem a card; it does not establish a universal way to check the value of every unredeemed card without applying it. Do not enter a claim code on a third-party balance-check site.
If the balance looks lower than expected
- Review the transaction activity on the balance page to see changes to gift-card funds.
- On Amazon.co.uk, the displayed Gift Card balance does not include possible promotional certificates. Promotional credit and gift-card funds are separate.
- Make sure you are signed in to the account where the gift card was applied.
Marketplace rules and keeping your claim code safe
Gift-card terms depend on the Amazon marketplace. Amazon.co.uk’s terms say its gift cards can be used toward eligible products on Amazon.co.uk or other Amazon stores designated by Amazon, and that unused value remains in the account. The reviewed UK terms state that gift-card balances expire ten years from issuance. These are UK-specific terms; check the rules for your marketplace rather than assuming they apply elsewhere.

Never share a gift-card claim code with someone demanding payment. Amazon warns that a scammer may spend the funds before you can contact Amazon or law enforcement. For problems with your account or a code, use Amazon’s official help channel.
