To check a Solana USDC transfer, get its transaction signature from the sender, look it up on the correct Solana cluster, and verify the execution result, confirmation status, USDC mint, amount, and recipient token account. A signature alone does not prove that the intended payment succeeded.
How do I check my Solana USDC transaction?
- Get the transaction signature. Ask the sender for the signature, sometimes called a transaction ID. It should appear in the sender’s wallet or exchange withdrawal record. Never give anyone a seed phrase or private key to investigate a transfer.
- Look it up on the right cluster. Open Solana Explorer and search the signature. Make sure the selected cluster matches the network used to send it. Mainnet is normally used for real USDC; devnet and other clusters are for testing. A search on the wrong cluster will not show the expected record.
- Check the execution result. Confirm that the transaction succeeded, rather than relying on the fact that a signature exists. Solana’s RPC documentation describes getSignatureStatuses for checking status and getTransaction for retrieving transaction details. For an address’s transaction history, the related method is getSignaturesForAddress.
- Read the confirmation level. Solana’s payment verification guidance distinguishes
processed, confirmed, andfinalized. It warns that a processed transaction can be dropped during a fork. The guide advises waiting for confirmed before acting on a payment and finalized for high-value transfers. Its approximate confirmation times are contextual guidance, not a promise of current network latency. - Inspect the transfer details. Check the token balance changes and accounts involved. Verify that the expected amount reached the intended recipient’s USDC token account and that the token mint is the recognized Solana USDC mint—not merely a token displaying the name or symbol “USDC.”
You can use a trusted Solana RPC provider instead of an explorer, but the same checks apply: cluster, execution result, confirmation level, asset identity, amount, and receiving account.

How can I confirm a Solana wallet address?
Compare the full destination independently
Obtain the destination address from the intended recipient through a trusted channel, then compare the full address and network before sending. Do not rely on a partial match or on an address copied from an unexpected message.

On Solana, USDC is held in a token account associated with a wallet. A wallet’s SOL balance is separate from its USDC balance. To confirm receipt, inspect the relevant USDC token account and the transaction’s before-and-after token balances, as described in Solana’s payment flow documentation and verification guidance.

Do not assume an address’s role from its appearance
Solana addresses can identify system wallets, token accounts, mint accounts, or program-derived addresses. These are not interchangeable destinations. Solana’s address guidance explains why account types matter for safe transfers. Confirm that the destination is the recipient’s intended wallet or the correct token account for the transfer.
How do I know the token is genuine USDC?
A displayed token name or symbol is not proof of identity: anyone can create a token called “USDC.” Verify the mint address against current official information before treating a token as USDC. Solana’s payment verification documentation lists the mainnet USDC mint as EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v. Confirm that value with the current official documentation when checking a real transfer; a matching label alone is insufficient.

Why is my USDC transfer not showing up?
Check these possibilities before concluding that funds are lost:

- Wrong signature: Compare the signature with the sender’s wallet or exchange withdrawal record.
- Wrong cluster: Search the same network the sender used. Mainnet, devnet, and other clusters have separate transaction records.
- Failed or provisional transaction: Review the execution result and confirmation level. A processed status is not the same as confirmed or finalized.
- Wrong recipient: Compare the destination in the transaction with the full address supplied by the intended recipient through a trusted channel.
- Wrong asset or mint: Check the token mint and amount; a token’s displayed USDC name does not establish that it is genuine USDC.
- Wrong balance view: Check the recipient’s USDC token account rather than looking only at the SOL balance.
If the sender used an exchange, check its withdrawal record for the signature and the network selected. If the transaction is confirmed but the recipient cannot see the expected USDC, compare the transaction’s token balance changes and recipient account with the intended destination before taking further action.

Which lookup method should I use?
Solana Explorer provides a visual way to search a signature and inspect transaction details. For programmatic checks, use a trusted RPC provider with Solana’s status, transaction, or address-history methods. Solana’s documentation also names SolanaFM, Solscan, and Orb as explorer options; whichever interface you use, verify that it is showing the intended cluster and inspect the transaction details rather than relying on a token label or a successful search result alone.
