SpaceX is already public: its Class A shares began trading on June 12, 2026, on the Nasdaq Global Select Market and Nasdaq Texas under ticker SPCX. To buy shares now, use a brokerage that supports SPCX and permits trading in your jurisdiction. The IPO is over; its $135 offering price was not a standing price for later buyers.

How to buy SpaceX shares on the public market

  1. Check access. Confirm with your brokerage that SPCX is available to you and that you are eligible to trade it where you live. Broker access, fees, and jurisdictional restrictions were not verified for this article.
  2. Review the live quote. Search for SPCX in your brokerage and check the current quote and trading status. The current market price is volatile and is not established here.
  3. Review the order details. Check the order type, quantity, estimated cost, and any applicable brokerage fees before submitting an order.
  4. Read issuer information. Review SpaceX’s prospectus and current filings so you understand the security and the risks before investing.

SpaceX announced that 555,555,555 Class A shares were offered at $135 per share on June 11, 2026. That was the IPO offering price—not a current quote or a price available to later buyers. SpaceX’s pricing announcement said trading was expected to begin the following day under SPCX.

SpaceX’s Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 identifies Class A, Class B, and Class C common stock and records a five-for-one split of each outstanding common share in May 2026. That filing excerpt does not provide a complete comparison of the classes’ rights; consult the prospectus and current filings for the precise terms.

Can you still buy pre-IPO SpaceX shares?

SpaceX is public, so a claim that ordinary investors can still buy its pre-IPO shares should be treated cautiously. Historically, private secondary transactions depended on an eligible buyer, a willing seller, share availability, and transfer restrictions, which could include a company right of first refusal. Forge’s page discusses that historical private-market process, but it is stale on SpaceX’s current public status: Forge’s SpaceX page.

The SEC warns that purported pre-IPO investments can involve losing the entire investment, an inability to resell, and offers that may be illegal if they are not registered or covered by an exemption. Its alert advises checking whether a seller is registered and cautions against aggressive tactics, social-media solicitations, undisclosed markups, and promises of guaranteed access. These warnings apply to purported private offers—not to buying publicly traded SPCX through a brokerage. SEC investor alert on pre-IPO investing.
