Samsung opened U.S. preorders for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Buds 3, Buds 3 Pro, Watch 7, Watch Ultra and Galaxy Ring on July 10, 2024; general availability began July 24. Those preorder offers have expired. This is a historical launch guide, not a current offer: in 2026, Samsung’s U.S. pages may lead to newer generations, and current prices, stock and promotions are not established here.
The original U.S. launch prices ranged from $179.99 for Galaxy Buds 3 to $1,899.99 for the Fold 6. Samsung.com was the direct ordering route; Amazon and Best Buy were also identified as launch retailers. Use the table below to compare launch pricing and fit, then check live availability and checkout terms before buying an older model.

Where to look for an older device now
Samsung.com
Samsung remains the official destination for checking its current U.S. product pages, trade-in program and support options. Its Galaxy Z category may show newer models rather than an active Fold 6 or Flip 6 listing. Samsung’s current pages for Galaxy Ring, Watch Ultra, Watch 7 and Buds likewise may not reflect the original launch offers. Check the product generation, seller, condition, price and return terms shown at checkout rather than assuming a page still offers the 2024 configuration.
Samsung can be a useful route when its direct trade-in, manufacturer support or a listed configuration matters to you. Its pages also link to Care+, order help and returns. Promotions and trade-in values change; the current page does not establish that any 2024 deal remains available.
Amazon and Best Buy
Amazon and Best Buy were identified as launch retailers for availability beginning July 24, 2024. That historical listing does not confirm current stock or pricing. If you find an older device there, check who sells and ships it, whether it is new or refurbished, the warranty, delivery estimate and return window. Retailer financing, trade-in offers and bundles can differ from Samsung’s, so compare the total checkout cost rather than the advertised discount alone. Engadget’s launch report documents the 2024 retailer availability.
How to evaluate a current listing and checkout total
- Confirm the exact model and condition. Verify the generation, storage, size, color and whether the item is new or refurbished. A category page or search result is not proof that the 2024 model is in stock.
- Compare the final price. Include taxes, shipping, financing charges if applicable, and any required cellular service for an LTE watch. Treat a promotion as valid only if it appears in the current cart.
- Evaluate trade-in credit conservatively. The 2024 “up to” amounts were not guaranteed discounts. Samsung’s trade-in program and current terms govern any present offer; eligibility, device condition and inspection affect the credit.
- Check delivery, return and warranty terms. For marketplace listings, verify the seller and who handles returns or warranty support.
- Save the order record. Keep the confirmation, trade-in terms and delivery estimate. If using a trade-in, document the device’s condition before shipping and follow the current instructions and deadline.
Samsung’s current U.S. store information says trade-in devices must satisfy eligibility requirements, be reset with personal information removed, and arrive within the specified period. A late or rejected trade-in can lead to the expected credit being charged back. Review the terms attached to the specific offer before relying on the credit.

Galaxy Z Fold 6
The Fold 6 launched at $1,899.99 and came in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB versions. Its 7.6-inch main display and 6.3-inch cover display, 12GB of memory and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor positioned it as the multitasking choice. Launch coverage reported a 4,400mAh battery and IP48 water-resistance rating. The trade-off is its much higher starting price and larger form factor.
Samsung’s reported preorder offer included a temporary storage upgrade, up to $1,200 in trade-in credit for an eligible device and a year of Samsung Care+ for qualifying preorders. The maximum credit depended on the trade-in device and promotion rules; it was not a guaranteed $1,200 reduction.
Galaxy Z Flip 6
The Flip 6 launched at $1,099.99, with 256GB or 512GB storage. It has a 6.7-inch main display and 3.4-inch cover display, along with 12GB of memory, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor, a 4,000mAh battery and an IP48 rating, according to launch coverage. Its lower launch price and compact fold make it the more affordable foldable, but it offers less screen area and fewer storage choices than the Fold.
Its historical preorder package included a temporary storage upgrade, up to $1,000 in eligible trade-in credit and one year of Samsung Care+ for qualifying orders. As with the Fold, the credit depended on eligibility and inspection, and none of those launch benefits should be presumed active now.
Watch 7 or Watch Ultra: choose for fit and use, not just features
Galaxy Watch 7
The Watch 7 launched from $299.99 in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The reported colors were Green or Cream for 40mm and Green or Silver for 44mm. Launch coverage listed Android 11 or later and at least 1.5GB of memory as compatibility requirements. It highlighted Wear OS 5, a 3nm processor, dual-frequency GPS, heart-rate monitoring, irregular-heart-rhythm notifications and sleep-apnea detection authorization. Health features are not a substitute for medical advice.

Check the case size, band, color and Bluetooth/Wi-Fi versus LTE configuration before checkout. LTE can require carrier activation and recurring service fees. Samsung’s reported extra-band preorder offer was time-limited; the available launch information does not establish whether every configuration received it automatically or required a selection.
Galaxy Watch Ultra
The 47mm Watch Ultra launched at $649.99 in Titanium Gray, Titanium White and Titanium Silver. Samsung highlighted a Grade 4 titanium frame, 10ATM water resistance, brightness up to 3,000 nits, and battery claims of up to 100 hours in power-saving mode or up to 48 hours in exercise power-saving mode. These are manufacturer claims under specified modes, not a guarantee of everyday runtime. Its size and price make it a more specialized choice than the Watch 7 for outdoor use and ruggedness; it may be excessive if you mainly need notifications, basic fitness tracking or sleep tracking.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Galaxy Ring: size before you buy
The Galaxy Ring launched at $399.99 in nine sizes and Titanium Black, Titanium Silver or Titanium Gold. Samsung’s launch materials described it as weighing up to about three grams depending on size, with up to seven days of claimed battery life and a charging case. Health data is stored in Samsung Health. These are wellness-tracking features, not a basis for treating the Ring as a medical device.

If you are uncertain about size, use Samsung’s sizing-kit route rather than guessing. Wear the sample long enough to judge comfort, including overnight, and allow for finger swelling. Do not assume a conventional jewelry size maps directly to Samsung’s system. Samsung’s Galaxy Ring page is the official U.S. buying destination, but its present sizing process and stock should be checked directly.
Also check ecosystem compatibility before purchasing. The launch information here does not establish a complete current iPhone-compatibility matrix for the Ring or Samsung health features. Android compatibility and account requirements can affect which functions are available, so verify the specific requirements for your phone before paying.
Buds 3 or Buds 3 Pro: pay more only for features you will use
Galaxy Buds 3
Buds 3 launched at $179.99 in Silver and White. Reported features included active noise cancellation, wireless and fast charging, Samsung Find, Adaptive EQ and Custom EQ, plus Galaxy AI features such as Interpreter and Voice Command. The launch promotion included a clip case through July 23, 2024; it is not a standard included benefit today.
Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
Buds 3 Pro launched at $249.99, also in Silver and White. Launch coverage highlighted a two-way speaker, ambient sound, adaptive noise control, voice and siren detection, dual amplifiers and Super-Wideband calling. It is the premium option; the additional launch price makes sense only if those audio and control features matter to you. Coverage reported both a clip-case offer and a temporary $50 discount, neither of which should be assumed current.
Compatibility checks for people switching from iPhone
Do not assume Samsung wearables provide the same experience across phone ecosystems. The launch information specifically listed Android 11 or later and at least 1.5GB of memory for Watch 7, but does not supply a complete current compatibility matrix for every product and health feature. Before buying a Watch or Ring, confirm phone, app, account and feature requirements on Samsung’s current product information. Avoid paying for a health or connectivity feature until you have verified it works with your phone and region.
