To buy ONDO safely, first verify you are dealing with Ondo’s governance token—not a similarly named tokenized security or yield product. The Ondo Foundation identifies ONDO as the governance token for the Ondo DAO and Flux Finance. Its published Ethereum contract address is 0xfAbA6f8e4a5E8Ab82F62fe7C39859FA577269BE3. Check that address against the Ondo Foundation’s token documentation before an on-chain transaction; a ticker or token name alone is not proof of identity.
What is ONDO, and how do I identify the right token?

Centralized exchange
Coinbase’s asset page says ONDO is available on its centralized exchange, but that does not establish that every customer can trade it or withdraw it. Availability, account eligibility, funding methods, fees, and deposit or withdrawal support can vary by location and change over time. Check the asset and account screens in your own exchange account before placing an order.

If you intend to move ONDO to your own wallet, verify that external withdrawals are currently enabled for your account and that the exchange’s withdrawal network and instructions match your destination wallet.

A decentralized exchange may be another route, but no current venue, trading pair, quote, or fee is established here. If you consider one, independently verify the ONDO contract address, the network, the trading pair, and the transaction details before approving a swap. Which network is ONDO on?
The Foundation-published ONDO contract is an Ethereum token contract. For self-custody, use an Ethereum-compatible wallet, and make sure the network selected for any deposit, withdrawal, or transfer is Ethereum as required by the sending and receiving services. The fact that ONDO has an Ethereum contract does not establish that an exchange supports ONDO withdrawals on every network.

Keep it with an exchange
If you leave ONDO on an exchange, the platform controls custody of the assets held there, and you depend on its account security and custody arrangements. Review the exchange’s available account protections and follow its security guidance.

Use a wallet you control
With self-custody, you control the wallet’s keys and are responsible for protecting recovery information and approving transactions. Choose an Ethereum-compatible wallet and check the wallet provider’s current Ethereum and ERC-20 support. Compatibility with a particular wallet or device has not been established here.
A hardware wallet is an optional physical category for self-custody, not a guarantee against loss, theft, or mistakes. Check the manufacturer’s current documentation for Ethereum/ERC-20 support before relying on a particular model for ONDO.

Can I withdraw ONDO to my wallet?
The Foundation says DAO action lifted ONDO transfer restrictions and enabled free movement of the token as of January 18, 2024. That protocol-level fact does not guarantee that a particular exchange currently enables withdrawals. Check your account’s live withdrawal options and instructions before buying if wallet withdrawal is important to you.
Before making a transfer, use this checklist:
- Confirm the destination wallet address directly in the wallet you control.
- Confirm the network selected on the sending side matches the network supported by the receiving wallet and service.
- Verify the token contract is the official ONDO Ethereum address:
0xfAbA6f8e4a5E8Ab82F62fe7C39859FA577269BE3. - Read the exchange’s deposit or withdrawal instructions, including any minimum amount and fee.
- Consider a small test transfer where appropriate, then verify receipt before sending more.
- Never share your wallet recovery phrase with anyone or enter it into an untrusted site.
What do ONDO’s supply and transfer details mean?
The Ondo Foundation’s undated token documentation, accessed in 2026, states an initial supply of 10 billion ONDO and says there is no scheduled or planned inflation. These are supply-policy statements, not a live circulating-supply figure or a prediction of market price.

The Foundation page also lists allocations and vesting schedules, including investor tranches with one-year locks followed by release periods. Such allocation and vesting terms can affect how many tokens become transferable over time; the page should not be treated as a complete current circulating-supply schedule.
