Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallBuild a focused list of stocks you want to monitor, confirm each security before adding it, and create a separate alert with a clear price condition for each one. After saving, check that the alert is active and that the app can deliver notifications. Exact menus, alert types, and syncing behavior depend on the service.
1. Decide what your watchlist is for
A watchlist is a way to organize securities you want to monitor; it is not an order to buy or sell them. Give each list a purpose, such as “Research next” or “Near my review price,” so it stays useful rather than becoming a catch-all. If the service supports notes, record why you are tracking each security and what would prompt you to review it.

For example, Fidelity allows a note of up to 100 characters per symbol. Apple Stocks supports multiple named lists and lets you sort them. These are provider-specific features, not universal capabilities.

- Open the watchlist feature in your brokerage, market-research, or stock-tracking app. Create a list if needed and give it a descriptive name.
- Search by company name or ticker. Some services also let you search for funds or indexes; Apple Stocks documents all four search types.
- Check the company name and displayed security details before adding the result. A ticker by itself may not uniquely identify the security you intend to follow, particularly where exchanges or share classes differ.
- Add the confirmed result to the list. Depending on the platform, you may be able to add it from search results, a quote screen, or a recently viewed securities list.
Apple Stocks lets you sort or manually reorder a list and choose whether it displays price change, percentage change, or market capitalization. These display choices help organize information; they do not set alerts.

- BUILT FOR YOUR MARKET, FUTURES, STOCKS, FOREX, OPTIONS & CRYPTO: 4X is a mindset and process journal, not a strategy tool tied to one instrument. The plan, the trade log, the deep dive and the weekly review work the same whether you trade ES, EURUSD, SPY or BTC. Traders use it across all five markets every day.
- THE 2026 EDITION, REBUILT FROM TRADER FEEDBACK: Same trusted system, better in every way. An extra daily page for more room to log the session. Weekly reviews now grouped with each week's trades, so no more flipping back and forth. Crisp, darker print that's easy on the eyes after hours on a screen. A Quick-Start QR that scans straight to step-by-step instructions.
- NOT A NOTEBOOK, A COMPLETE 12-WEEK SYSTEM: Start with a one-time 9-part Trading Plan (your market, setups, risk rules and discipline checklist). Then twelve identical weeks: five Daily Logs, five Deep Dive trade pages, and a two-page Weekly Review. 189 guided pages, roughly 80 trades. Guided prompts walk you through every step. You never stare at a blank page.
- RATE YOUR EXECUTION, NOT YOUR RESULT: Your platform tracks the P&L. Nothing tracks the why. Log energy, sleep and mindset before the open; grade every trade A to F on whether you followed your plan, not on whether it won; then face the pattern every weekend with START / STOP / IMPROVE / CONTINUE. That review habit is the edge. You're 42% more likely to hit a goal you've written down.
- BUILT TO LAST, ARRIVES GIFT-READY: Vegan-leather hardcover, 100gsm bleed-resistant paper, two ribbon markers and an elastic closure band. Bound to lay flat so you're not fighting the spine while you write. 189 pages, 5.75" x 8.5", carries in a bag. Ships in a premium gift box: the gift every trader in your life actually wants.
3. Choose an alert condition for each stock
Decide what change should prompt you to check the security. A straightforward starting point is a price crossing above or below a value you choose. That value is a monitoring threshold, not a recommended buy or sell price.
- Rises above a price: use this if you want a notification when the price crosses an upper threshold.
- Falls below a price: use this if you want a notification when it crosses a lower threshold.
- Percentage change or moving average: use these only if your platform offers them and they match what you want to monitor.
Set the condition and value for the particular security. Do not assume that creating one alert automatically creates the same alert for every symbol in a list. TradingView documents a distinct watchlist-alert feature that works independently for each symbol; other providers may use per-security alerts.

4. Save the alert and check its status
- Open the security from your watchlist or search for it, then choose the service’s alert option.
- Select the condition or target-price type, choose the direction if prompted, and enter the value.
- Save the alert, then open the service’s alert-management screen.
- Confirm the symbol, condition, value, and enabled status. Check the app’s notification settings and any required delivery method, such as push or email.
Services differ in their prerequisites and management tools. Fidelity says at least one alert delivery device must be defined before using its described watchlist triggers. Schwab Mobile provides a Stock Alerts area for reviewing and editing open alerts. FYERS says its Alerts area can be used to view, edit, enable or disable, and delete alerts. None of these instructions establishes a general delivery-time guarantee, so do not assume a notification will arrive immediately.
How the platforms differ
The following are examples from each provider’s published instructions, not features that apply to every app. Limits and interfaces can change; check the provider’s current help pages if a particular capability or limit matters to you.

| Service | Watchlists and supported securities | Alert setup and management | Sync or session details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple Stocks | On iPhone, search by ticker, company, fund, or index; create named lists, sort or reorder symbols, and choose displayed metrics. | The cited guide documents watchlist management, not price-alert setup. It does not establish the alert workflow described by brokerage sources. | Lists can appear on Apple devices signed in to the same Apple Account when Stocks is enabled in iCloud. |
| Fidelity | Its help page describes up to 15 watchlists, with up to 50 securities in each. Supported items include stocks, mutual funds, money-market funds, indexes, options, and certain Fidelity variable-annuity options; fixed-income securities such as bonds cannot be included. | Documents up to nine price triggers on a security, including price tripwires, percentage changes, and moving averages. At least one alert delivery device must be defined. | Not stated in the cited help page. |
| Schwab Mobile | Start from Markets or a security’s quote details. | Select “Set an Alert,” choose a target-price type and direction, and save. Open alerts can be reviewed and edited in Stock Alerts; triggered alerts are retained for up to 30 days. | Schwab says alerts set in Schwab Mobile do not synchronize with thinkorswim or Schwab.com. |
| TradingView | Its watchlist-alert feature applies independently to each symbol in the list. | The alert remains active until it has triggered for all symbols and updates as symbols are added or removed. | For US stocks and ETFs, its Extended session setting includes regular, pre-market, and post-market hours. This session detail should not be generalized to other markets or asset classes. |
| FYERS | Its instructions describe creating an alert from a watchlist in the app or on the web. | Alerts can be managed centrally. FYERS states that price alerts are informational and do not place trades. | Not stated in the cited article. |
5. Keep the list and alerts current
When your reason for tracking a security changes, revise its note, remove it, or adjust the alert condition. Before relying on how list changes affect alerts, check that provider’s behavior: TradingView says its watchlist alert updates when symbols are added or removed, but that behavior should not be presumed for other services.
Watchlist syncing and alert syncing are also separate features. Apple documents watchlist syncing through iCloud when Stocks is enabled and devices use the same Apple Account. Schwab says alerts created in Schwab Mobile do not synchronize with thinkorswim or Schwab.com. Confirm the relevant settings separately in the service you use.

What a price alert does—and does not do
A price alert is a notification feature, not necessarily a trade instruction. FYERS explicitly says its alerts “are informational only and do not place trades.” Receiving an alert does not, by itself, establish that a stock is appropriate to buy or sell; consider your own research and circumstances before acting.
