Family Mobile’s verified self-service instructions say to text ACTIVATE to 611611 and follow the prompts, or use its automated activation assistant. The available support instructions do not confirm a step-by-step activation flow inside a signed-in myfamilymobile.com account, so use one of those official routes rather than relying on unverified website steps.
Activate service using the official self-service options
Family Mobile lists two self-service ways to start activation. Choose the one that works for you; its support material does not specify differences in eligibility, processing time, or outcome.
Text ACTIVATE to 611611
- From the phone you want to activate, send ACTIVATE by text to 611611.
- Follow the instructions you receive.
This is the specific activation instruction in Family Mobile’s account-help FAQ.
Use the automated activation assistant
Family Mobile also identifies an automated activation assistant as an activation option. The available instructions do not establish its exact screens or steps, so follow the prompts presented by the assistant rather than expecting a particular website menu or sequence.

Does myfamilymobile.com have an online activation flow?
The support information available for this guide does not verify the steps for activating through a signed-in account at myfamilymobile.com. It confirms the text-to-611611 option and the automated assistant, but does not establish portal credentials, a website menu path, or a web activation sequence. For the documented instructions, start with ACTIVATE by text or the assistant.
Reactivating service is different from activating a phone
If you already have Family Mobile service and need it restored, the account-help FAQ says to text REACT to 611611. Use that reactivation command for existing service rather than treating it as the new-device activation instruction.
