The KFC Australia Colonel’s Lodge giveaway is over: entries closed on July 31, 2024, and the final two-night stay ended on August 7, 2024. At the time, eligible entrants needed to spend at least AUD $30 through the KFC App and submit an entry using the pop-up prompts after the transaction. The promotion offered three stays for up to four adults in a KFC-themed Blue Mountains property.
Can you still win a stay at the Colonel’s Lodge?
No. This was a historical KFC Australia promotion, not an open competition. The final entry period ended July 31, 2024; the third draw was scheduled for August 1, and the last stay ran August 5–7, 2024. The reproduced promotion terms and dates establish those deadlines.
How did you enter the Colonel’s Lodge competition?
When the promotion was running, the entry process required both a qualifying purchase and an entry submission. Spending alone did not complete the entry.
- Spend at least AUD $30 through the KFC App during an eligible entry period.
- After the transaction processed, follow the transaction pop-up prompts to submit an entry.
The listing described the promotion as open Australia-wide. PerthNow reported that there was no limit to the number of entries per person; that detail is attributed to its July 1, 2024 article, rather than the reproduced terms excerpt.

What did the KFC Lodge prize include?
The terms offered three prizes, each covering two nights’ accommodation at the Colonel’s Lodge for up to four adults. Catering consisted of available KFC menu items between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., subject to a maximum value of AUD $2,000 per day. That cap matters: descriptions of “unlimited KFC” should not be read as unlimited spending or an uncapped food allowance.
The terms stated a prize value of up to AUD $10,000, depending on the winner’s departure point. They described return economy flights from the winner’s nearest Australian capital city to Sydney only for winners residing outside New South Wales. NSW winners did not receive airfare, and airfare could not be exchanged for cash. The promoter could, at its discretion, arrange return transfers between an NSW winner’s residence and the Blue Mountains; those transfers were not guaranteed.

What was the lodge like?
Contemporary campaign descriptions portrayed the temporary Blue Mountains property as a KFC-themed, wood-panelled mansion or cabin, with festive styling and a lodge butler. Those are campaign and media descriptions; the reproduced terms establish the accommodation and catering conditions, rather than independent specifications for a permanent hotel.

The campaign was tied to Christmas in July. PerthNow’s July 1, 2024 report identified Tami Cunningham as KFC Australia’s CMO and quoted her saying: “Creating unique experiences with KFC at the heart is something we love to do for our customers.” The statement framed the lodge as a limited-time brand experience, not a regular accommodation offer.
