How did the offer fit into Starbucks’ military-community work?
Starbucks describes the coffee promotion alongside broader efforts for military communities, but those programs are separate from the free drink. On its military-community page, Starbucks reported hiring more than 45,000 veterans and military spouses as of 2025. The company also reported more than 250 Military Family Stores and annual donations of more than 6 million cups of coffee to military and Veteran communities; the page does not separately date those figures. It also says partners (employees) receive 80 hours of Military Service Pay and that Starbucks has awarded more than 1,000 Neighborhood Grants to nonprofits serving military communities since 2019.
