The “$600 million” figure in this headline is a Forbes estimate reported in June 2019, not a current net-worth figure. The reporting behind it documents how Rihanna built wealth through businesses and entertainment, and what she says money enables; it does not verify six categories of personal spending. Forbes described her as a billionaire in a profile result crawled in 2026, but that, too, is an estimate rather than an audited disclosure.

What the $600 million figure means

Forbes’ 2019 estimate combined Rihanna’s music-career earnings with business interests. It was an estimate of her fortune at that time—not a record of cash on hand, an itemized spending report, or a current valuation. Forbes’ profile was described in a result crawled in 2026 as placing her among billionaires; that figure is also an estimate, not an audited disclosure.

That distinction matters: a company’s revenue, its estimated value, and an owner’s personal net worth are different measures. The available reporting supports a story about how Rihanna built wealth and her stated priorities for it, rather than a verified list of six things she buys.

How Rihanna built the fortune Forbes estimated in 2019

1. Fenty Beauty and cosmetics

Fenty Beauty launched in September 2017 as a partnership with LVMH. Forbes Brasil reported estimated 2018 revenue of $570 million after roughly 15 months of operations, and estimated the business was worth more than $3 billion in its 2019 report. Those figures describe the business—not Rihanna’s personal earnings or the value of her own stake.

Forbes Brasil estimated Rihanna’s stake at about 15%, while noting that a representative disputed that estimate without providing a clarification. The same report said the brand offered 40 foundation shades at the time; that is a dated product-range detail, not a current catalog count. Forbes Brasil’s 2019 account also said most of her earnings came from the LVMH partnership.

2. Savage X Fenty lingerie

In 2019 reporting, Rihanna was described as a co-owner of Savage X Fenty alongside TechStyle Fashion Group. That establishes a business interest at the time, not a personal purchase, a precise stake percentage, or proof of her current ownership position.

3. Fashion and accessories with LVMH

Rihanna and LVMH announced a luxury fashion house spanning clothing, accessories, and jewelry. The Guardian reported that LVMH confirmed the company’s launch in May 2019. This was another business venture; the reporting does not state how much Rihanna personally invested or earned from it. The Guardian’s 2019 report covered the launch alongside the estimate of her fortune.

4. Music and entertainment

Music-career earnings were included in Forbes’ 2019 estimate, alongside Rihanna’s business interests. The reporting does not support treating music as the main source of the estimated fortune: Forbes Brasil attributed most earnings to the LVMH partnership.

What Rihanna has said money enables

5. Family support and creating jobs

In a New York Times interview quoted by The Guardian in 2019, Rihanna said: “The money means that I can take care of my family. The money means that I can facilitate the businesses that I want to. I can create jobs for other people. My money is not for me; it’s always the thought that I can help someone else or, in the future, for if I have kids.” This describes her stated aims; it does not quantify spending on family or business.

6. Philanthropy through the Clara Lionel Foundation

The Guardian reported that Rihanna founded the Clara Lionel Foundation in 2012 and that it supports health and education efforts in impoverished communities around the world. That documents a philanthropic focus, but the reporting cited here gives no annual giving total or current breakdown of her personal donations.

What the reporting cannot tell you about her spending

The cited accounts do not establish Rihanna’s household purchases, real-estate holdings, vehicles, investment portfolio allocations, or the full amount she gives to charity. It would be misleading to present any of those as verified spending categories, or to turn company revenue and estimated business value into personal cash she spent.
