The often-cited £242 QPR figure comes from a February 2024 roundup covering the previous season—not 2024/25. Cardiff City provides a useful same-season comparison point: it announced adult prices from £309, with booking fees applying separately.
What was QPR’s cheapest 2024/25 season ticket?
A verified figure for QPR’s cheapest adult 2024/25 season ticket is not established by the available sources. That means the club’s precise price—and its position among Championship clubs for that season—cannot be stated confidently.
The £242 figure sometimes associated with QPR was reported by The Star on 8 February 2024 in a roundup of the prior season’s prices. It should not be presented as QPR’s 2024/25 price.
A confirmed 2024/25 comparison point: Cardiff City
Cardiff City’s official announcement on 8 May 2024 said adult 2024/25 season tickets started at £309. The club also said its Zone 4 adult ticket worked out at under £13.50 per game. Its advertised prices excluded booking fees, which applied separately. These figures show Cardiff’s stated prices, but they do not reveal whether QPR was cheaper or where either club ranked across the league.

- 100% Polyester
- Suitable for all environments and occasions
- Made In China
- Recommended cold water cleaning
Cardiff City’s announcement is a like-for-like comparison only in season and adult category. It does not establish identical seat restrictions, eligibility terms, renewal status, or fee treatment across clubs.
Why the comparison needs more than a headline price
A league ranking is meaningful only when the figures use comparable rules. For each club, a fair comparison should identify:
Rank #2
- Whether the price is for an adult and applies to a new customer or a renewal.
- Whether it is an early-bird offer or a general-sale price.
- Whether restricted-view seats or family-area tickets are included.
- Whether booking fees are included in the quoted amount.
A later Dragon Football analysis for 2026/27 illustrates the effect of methodology: it used the cheapest general-sale price for new customers, or a renewal price where new tickets were unavailable, and excluded early-bird prices. Its QPR figure of £348 belongs to 2026/27 and cannot be used to fill the gap for 2024/25.

In January 2025, QPR described Flexi Ticket packages for three, four, five, or eight matches, usable for remaining home Championship fixtures. The club’s Flexi Ticket announcement concerns multi-match packages, not a full-season ticket minimum, so those packages cannot answer the 2024/25 season-ticket comparison.

What the evidence does—and does not—show
- The £242 QPR figure is from a prior-season comparison, not a verified 2024/25 price.
- Cardiff announced 2024/25 adult season tickets from £309 and a Zone 4 cost of under £13.50 per game, with booking fees applying separately.
- Without comparable 2024/25 adult prices and matching rules for QPR and other clubs, QPR’s league position is unverified.
